So how about a setlist? ;)
-
I am anxious to see how much he shuffles it up from show to show. I'd love to hear Hopeless make an appearance or other new ones like The Devil's In Your Details and Boy Come Home... apparently he said Empty Road will be played tonight.
-
Just wondering if anyone has a review or -- even better -- a setlist of last night's show in Victoria. I can't believe no one is talking about it on here yet.
-
Sounds like it's a good thing I missed the wrestling discussion the first time around. I feel like it's usurped the attention away from me in this thread... oh well, it was nice while it lasted. Hey look here, I'm blind! I can't look at you so look here! ... I'm done.

Teddy Hart & Harry Smith need to debut in WWE.

Quoted for truth, I use narration software called JAWS if you want to look it up. It enables special keyboard shortcuts and lets certain numpad keys work as left and right click mouse buttons -- seeing as how I can't see a cursor I am unable to use the mouse. So if you have anymore questions feel free to ask, I don't mind answering them. A lot of people don't know this stuff and have a lot of misconceptions of those with visual impairments. Raimi even quoted me on her blog so I must be cool.

Wow it isn't too often I get an entire thread dedicated to me. I'm DudeLove721, I changed my username when I registered here for reasons I can't remember. I am indeed blind and um... not sure if you need some more proof, if you want to hold a couple fingers up I can get it wrong and prove that I can't see? Anyway, Little Miss Sunshine let me know I was wanted and who am I to refuse an invitation? So um... what's up? P.S. crusader is right too, I post on MG.org as DudeLove721.

She's In It For The Money (on Matthewgood.org Now)
DudeLove721 replied to PsychoLamb's topic in Matthew Good
For whoever was wondering who Patty is, I am pretty sure it's Matt's deceased grandmother. She is the Pat in the sub-titles in the Weapon video too. -Marc -
I am jumping on the Killers bandwagon too. I am not saying it's a rip-off, the tone in the guitar just reminds me of the one in "All These Things That I've Done" a bit. The composition and tempo are entirely different but the slight similarity is indeed there. -Marc

For those having problems, Dale just e-mailed me and said they tried to fix the audio/video problems. He told me to try the player/stream again and when I did it worked so go back and try it out again if you haven't already. -Marc

I thought his drink of choice was called a caucasian? I don't remember him refering to his alcohol as elephants. I've missed Matt refering to animals on his records. It seems the ones with any emotional conflict have one. BM had monkeys, Audio Of Being was pigs and Avalanche was rabbits. I say elephants are a good addition to Matthew's Arc. -Marc

For whatever reason, I am not a huge fan of Black Helicopters. Not sure what it is, but the song just doesn't do it for me. Personally, I think older songs like that and Breath Of A Nation might not make it. From what Matt's said recently, it doesn't sound like this will be a political record. While the odd song might creep in, I'd say that this will be one of those records more about himself. I am thinking that content-wise, it will sort of be like Avalanche: Personal with the political content in the background. I think a song like Can't Get Shot will still work, but not sure about the rest. For crusader: Was Metal Airplanes a political song? I am guessing it is, but just wanna know for sure. -Marc

I am quite excited about the new record now too. I am guessing a release by June of 2007. She's In It For The Money will definitely be on it, especially after his description of what the content of the record will be. Very excited: She's In It For The Money is his best song since AoB and if the rest of the album is similar, it should be great. -Marc

Setlist please? -Marc

For those of us who don't venture to other sites, could you post a setlist or a link to where we could find one? Thanks! Edit: Disregard this post, I should really view all pages of a topic before replying. -Marc

So does anyone have a Prince George setlist or what? -Marc

Best Records Of 2005
DudeLove721 replied to borntohula's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
My faves of the year were: Coldplay - X&Y Weezer - Make Believe The Vanity Project - s/t The White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan OLP - Healthy In Paranoid Times I am a mainstream slut, but oh well. Also, was Hot Hot Heat's Elevator released in 2005 or 2004? I really enjoyed that record as it has some catchy pop tunes on it. I think Make Believe by Weezer is a solid pop album. I don't get why so many people hated it: It's Weezer, what else did you want? It's not like they'll get away with making another Pinkerton, no matter how many fans want it that way. While it garnered a cult following and praise as the years went by, you can't hide the fact that it was a total commercial flop. I'd have put In Your Honour here, but I think the second CD on that album sucks ass. I am not denying Dave Grohl can write a beautiful slow song (Aurora and Walking After You are great examples of that), but a whole CD's worth? No thanks. If they'd taken 2-3 songs from the second CD and added them to the first, I think it would've been the band's best work to date. As it stands though, there was no need for a freaking double album. X&Y is more of the same from Coldplay, but they're good at what they do. Fix You was worth the money alone. I love that song and there are many solid tunes on that record, especially the secret track. They'd just better do something different with the next album though, or else I think people are gonna get really tired with them. -Marc -
No offense, but what are you talking about? He's played like half of the record live: Carmelina Fall Of Man Under The Influence The Rat Who Would Be King Workers Sing A Song Of Mass Production Tripoli Advertising On Police Cars He might not play tons from AoB at one given show, but I'd say that 7 out of 12 of it's songs being played at some point or another is pretty good. Especially for a record that he apparently despises. Fall Of Man is the only song he's played from it exclusively with MGB, so I don't understand why people still say he's barely played anything from that record. -Marc
-
Would anyone be able to send me a bootleg of this show through MSN? MSG me if you can. Thanks in advance. -Marc
-
Does anyone have an audio bootleg of this show? -Marc
-
I caught the movie on Friday and it was great. I'd never seen Firefly, but a friend of mine was totally into the show and really wanted to see it, so I agreed to go with her. Even though I was not familiar with the characters, it was very easy to get attached and I must say I felt the same way as people commenting on the spoilers. I think it would have awesomer for me if I'd seen the show, but either way it still rocked my world. The villain is so awesome too, that was great. -Marc

If you can find a copy of the rough mix of Pony Boy that someone on here hosted and did, it's all the same parts that are audible in that. As someone pointed out, they're just harder to hear in the In A Coma mix. They're still there though from what I can tell and not just in the bridge. -Marc

I gotta gea get a new POPMart shirt with the lemon... I miss my lemon. Oh and to keep this on-topic: I went to Wal-Mart and bought some rad new underpants the other day. ;) -Marc
-
I don't mean to be an ass, but why would you talk about buying a random jacket in a thread about tour merch? I understand we were talking about Matt selling a jacket and wearing the same kind on stage, but one has nothing to do with the other. If you just wanted to brag about your jacket I understand, but this topic wasn't really the place for it, in my opinion. Then again, I am up earlier than I wanted to be so I might just be unreasonably cranky. -Marc

The video commentary made me sad because I realized that there will never be an era of great videos like there was from Apparitions to Carmelina. The It's Been Awhile... video cemented that thought into my head, as it was the reuniting of Matt and Morrison, but yet Matt totally hates what happened to the video and declared he won't make a video again. It really bummed me out. -Marc
