Very Good Local Band
Radiohead replied to Radiohead's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
It'd be nice if everyone else would let me know what you think of them too. I don't want to be wasting anyone's time if this band is only good in my mind. That is all. -
Who's the best live band?
Radiohead replied to Kumquat's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Radiohead, Constantines, Matthew Good I'd pay tons of money to see that show. -
Very-local London punk band from the mid 90s to early 2003 when they broke up, they're amazing though. Called "Sanseiru", which is Japanese for something, just not sure what. They're so local that when I ordered their two albums online the lead singer dropped them off himself. But I really got into them. You can check them (and download the majority of their songs) out here: http://chrw.usc.uwo.ca/mp3/1996/Sanseiru%2...sa/sanseiru.htm Here: http://chrw.usc.uwo.ca/mp3/2001/Sanseiru%2...u/sanseiru4.htm and here http://www.sanseiru.com Standout tracks are "But Not Forgotten" "Flaweless" "Confused Senseless" "Constructive Interference" "Underscore" "Coup De Grace" but really, the whole albums are good, everyone should give them a listen if you're into punk at all. That is All.

They're called "The Servant" from England. Unlike the aformentioned fad-rock bands these guys show promise, though I'm not gonna say they're all that. Hopefully we'll get to hear their fresh sound, rather than the Killers', Ferdinand's and Jet's regurgitated garbage that served as pop rock these days. Keep your ears out. That is all.

Best Song Of 2004
Radiohead replied to rmak's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Both of you officially have lost all respect. The Killers? Franz Ferdinand? You make me sick. Radiohead - Hail to the Thief - There There Matthew Good - White Light Rock & Roll Review - In Love With a Bad Idea U2 - How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb - Vertigo Seriously, grow some taste before you come post on a topic like this again. That is all. -
Zeppelin Or Floyd?

GREATEST ROCK BAND TODAY
Radiohead replied to marik's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
rock is about looking like a homo and playing shitty music? since when? Don't forget selling-out as fast as humanly possible. -

Paranoid Android know's what he's talking about. And he's totally unbiased too, just like me. That is all. -

Marxist-Leninist, all the way. Proletarian Dictatorship is the wave of the future. Screw the Bourgeois Democracy. Vote Communist.

Radiohead replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
Home Alone / Home Alone 2 / Home Alone 3 / Home Alone 4 Ok, maybe not 3&4 That is all. -
haha, Definately didn't pay more than $8 for mine brand new the week it came out But if I hadn't I'd be right up there with you buying it on ebay for 50+ dollars. I'm still missing Lofi B-sides. somebody console me? At least I got the Hello Time Bomb single, so I'm only really missing the Born to Kill without the orchestra. That is all.

Constantines Fans?
Radiohead replied to Radiohead's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Ok, to anyone who hasn't heard of them, and are interested in hearing some of their better stuff (they were nominated for a Juno after all), you should check out any or all of these tracks: "Nighttime/Anytime (It's Alright)" "Shine a Light" "Young Lions" "On to You" "Tank Commander (Hung Up in a Warehouse Town)" "Little Instruments" "the Long Distance Four" or "Thank You for Sending me an Angel" (which is a Talking Heads cover) -
Name My New Band.
Radiohead replied to Scot's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Ok, the 3 choices there, for one, - and no offense intended - suck. I've been brainstorming band names for a while incase I were to start my own band, and henceforth I won't give you my a-list names, but I'll give you a few of my rejects which I think are decent. Degrees of Freedom (it's a term from a Stats class I took, but I think it works) Chestnut Revolution (originally the name of what was going on in Ukraine recently before it was renamed the Orange Revolution). Another variation of this one could be "Chestnut Street" One Square Foot (sort of a fun-punk-band intended name for the double meaning) Soulfire (kinda gay, but maybe you could make it work, what do you expect, this isn't my a-list.) Another version of this one is "Firebrand". That is all. -
Personally, they're my third favourite after MG and Radiohead, but they're still small-time, and have mostly toured only in Canada, although they've also been to the states and Britain. Anyone else a fan?

William Shatner - "has Been"
Radiohead replied to Crusader's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
All there is to say is that "Has Been" rocks. If you like music that doesn't take itself too seriously. Common People kicks ass and is better than the original version by Pulp. That is all. -
Linkin Park
Radiohead replied to solidus's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I say that sounds like the worst concert the only acts it was missing was Britney Spears and Nickelback, then the suck-fest would be complete. That is all. -
Best Radio Song Of The 90's?
Radiohead replied to sodamntired's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
The best songs are never played on the Radio. But of the ones that are. "Radiohead - High & Dry" With many other Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, and MG songs close behind. -
I'm gonna go for Man of Action too. Just such a rockin' song to begin an album with. Also, it's clearly the best song on AoB, in my opinion. That is all.

I just wanted to know, how often have you all seen MG live, when/where etc. I've seen him only 3 times, all since the MGB broke up, although I'd been a fan since the Underdog days. Western Fair - London - 2002 Grand Bend Motorplex - Grand Bend - 2004 The Drink - London - 2004 I missed his 2003 Drink show, and am still kicking myself for that (mainly because tickets were cheaper than the 2004 drink show) Oh well. That is all.

Still got mine Safe in the jewel case, I got a little scared when I lent the CD to my friend who has a habit for ruining CDs... but everything was returned safe and sound, card and all. That is all.

Fearless for sure "Stay yourself and nothing less, stay fearless" I know the song is partially depressing, but the lyrics always do it for me. That is all.
