Once again, all arbitrary. I can argue that: 1. The four artist you mention above are much more clear and concise than Constantine. -And- 2. Mumbling, in my opinion, is shit. I like to understand what my musicians are saying. So sorry. It's pretty stupid to say that mumbling = good. See my point? Bryan Webb, the lead singer you're referring to, is quite understandable I find. Plus, he's not the ONLY lead singer. Steve Lembke also sings a few songs, and he sounds much different than Webb. Anyway, it's not mumbling at all. Just raspy. Lots of good singers, like the aforementioned Bob Dylan, among others, sound raspy when they sing. It's not a bad thing. But if you don't like them, don't listen, simple as that. -

According to the band they're working on a new album at the moment. Recorded over the Christmas holidays and whatnot. And the new songs they premiered at their London show in November sounded really good, so I expect it'll be another fine album. That is all. -
Yes, I know I do this alot, but whatever. I'm sure a lot of you have heard of this band since they came out with their Interscope Records stuff ("Source Tags and Codes" and "The Secret of Elena's Tomb"), and they just released their 4th album "Worls Apart" which is basically available anywhere music is sold. Their only fault is that they're from Texas, but I don't hold that against them. anyone else a fan? That is all.

Name My Band Part Two
Radiohead replied to Scot's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Nah, no band. But if I did, it certainly wouldn't be longing for a name, I've plenty. Here, I just thought this one up off the top of my head, thought it might help. "The Screaming Monkey Noise Experience" You'd naturally be the screaming monkey. -

How exactly is listening to them and thinking they suck because the lead singer mumbles an uninformed generalization? A critical uninformed generalization would be that you like them only because Matt Good likes them... Try not to listen to them anymore then. If you're not careful they'll grow on you. -

ministry of intelligence nine you dumb fuck. Now you're copying the Ministry of Sound's name too? You gotta decide which band you're gonna cover before you make a cover band. -

Best Radiohead Album

It's hard to decide, they're all sick, each one has something totally killer about them. (no I don't really talk like that) You've gotta have the Japanese versions of Pablo Honey (3 extra songs + 2 live tracks) and the Bends (2 extra songs). Really makes them better albums all together. I listened to the Bends this morning in the car to the airport. But tomorrow I'll have a new favourite. Why must you all ask such tough questions? That is all. -
Name My Band Part Two
Radiohead replied to Scot's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I said Chestnut Street And it had meaning whcih is something your names fundamentally lacked. If you knew anything about what happened in Ukraine, the Orange Revolution was originally called the Chestnut Revolution because of the trees that line Kiev's main street, therefore, Chestnut Street. Sometimes it's good to have a name that stands out and maybe gets people to wonder. Not a name like "Mi9" which looks like some first grader got his arithmetic mixed up with his alphabet practice. That is all. -

You're telling me that my ideas sucked? Take a look at your own for two seconds. Also, I gave you my b-list names rather than the ones I'd use myself if/when I'd start a band. So of course they're not the best, but they easily trump yours And I will not stop saying that is all. Now go start your Radiohead/Smashing Pumpkins cover band. That is all. -
Isn't it also an insurance company?

Stop choosing Radiohead songs. including --->Stereoface if you go with that one you should call yourself "Radiohead II" Same goes for Smashing Pumpkins. I gave you perfectly good names. Use one of them. What are you? A cover band? That is all. -

haha, ouch -
Just wondering, they've only released a 6-track EP which I got from a local radio station as a promotion. They're a 4-member group from New York. Either way they rock, so I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of them. Anyway, they since broke up as far as I can tell, and their page, www.soundtraktheband.com has been taken down recently so you can't download their song Available Memory. Just curious if anyone else knows who the hell I'm talking about. That is all.
-
Same thing with this song by a band called Soundrak. I'm sure none of you have ever heard of them, but if you look up their song "Available Memory" (which might be very hard to find), and is also a rocking song, the end sounds like a Matthew Good riff, but I can't pick out just which one yet. That is all.

If you knew anything about Beautiful Midnight, you'd know that in the real version Apparitions and Everything is Automatic are not supposed to be on it - that's just the stupid American version. Instead you should have put. I Miss New Wave Let's Get it On and Going All The Way in their place. For a real poll I suggest you change those. That is all.

Anyone interested in checking early stuff by the Lead singer and drummer of the constantines (Bryan Webb and Doug MacGregor) should go here and check out their band when they were "Shoulder", it's an awesome CD and some of the tracks are really good. All the fans should check it out. Links: http://chrw.usc.uwo.ca/mp3/1995/Shoulder%2...ch/shoulder.htm http://chrw.usc.uwo.ca/mp3/1995/Shoulder%2...g/shoulder2.htm http://chrw.usc.uwo.ca/mp3/1995/Shoulder%2...g/shoulder3.htm A lot of the tracks on the first link are mis-named, but whatever, you know? That is all.
