Bss And Concert
borntohula replied to pennies's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
BSS are the most normal band ive ever seen though... i mean, after the olympic island festival, half the band was on the ferry with us getting back to the main land, carrying gear and everything. so yeah, to say "we saw them and didn't care", well im sure they didnt care about you either lol. -

they sure aren't spacerock though. -
agreed. hopefully they make the "random" one a bit better so you dont have to sift through so much CRAP to find gold. i dont care about people's wedding videos.

i know that matty went to an arts school and all that shiz, and i've seen his recent drawings/paintings/whatever he's blogged, but is there other stuff out there on the web in existence? or has he ever done any work for the liner notes of any of his albums? i don't own them all so i am unsure.

Need Music For My Ipod
borntohula replied to Peter Griffin's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
For me the ipod isn't just about music though. I work at a hotel (in sales) which is a 45 minute bus ride from my home. The ipod is awesome for me: As a music lover it's great because it's compact (fits in my inside jacket pocket), holds a lot of music, and doesn't skip simply becuse it's an mp3 player. It also has a calendar so I can schedule all of my appointments with clients that I work with (I book conference rooms). It stores any necessary contact information (both personal and business). It also features a world clock so I know exactly what time it is if I'm dealing with clients overseas or on the other side of Canada. I have an alarm sound programmed to play to wake me before my stop when I have to come in to work very early (Being to work at 7am means getting up at 4:30 for me); I can catch an extra 30 minutes of sleep on the bus. I can also save all of my contracts and important documents that I'm working on if it will take me 20 minutes to finish them and the bus leaves in 15. That way I don't wait an hour to get the next bus but I finish all of my days work by finishing off little extras for 30 minutes or so at home. you can also use it as an ashtray. -

yeah spoon are awesome. "the way we get by" is so goddamn catchy. most of their stuff is. -
why not a cybernetic mammoth? well, in my opinion, being a pirate is a job (think of all the booty you get in return) and i'll probably learn more from it than pursuing my english BA w/ honors.
