clever. you could've just said "theyre too bland" but who am i to judge? my favorite songs of theirs would have to be the title track or "level". the album itself is fairly decent but some songs lack the oompf you'd expect from something billed by certain critics as "the next nevermind".

theyre really fun to watch live. i saw them last year at the olympic island festival. pretty good. i bought their album but like megin says, not as good as they are live. i cant tolerate the dude's voice for too long.

i'm not a fan of his work. david cross and bill hicks are my favorites. lenny bruce is also enjoyable. heck, bill cosby has better standup than dane cook.

agreed. even the brosnan films became formulaic. i think craig will do an excellent job (anyone see layer cake?) breathing new life back into the franchise. also, since they're going back to the original ian fleming model, i have a feeling this film will exceed most people's expectations.

right now i dont think i care too much for them since a crow left of the murder wasn't really a strong release, and all they've been doing lately is providing tracks for videogame/movie soundtracks. i like their music but they've given me no real reason to love it.

comparisons are silly. taking eric's apples and oranges example one step further, while they seem pretty disimilar at first, apples and oranges also have a lot in common. essentially in comparing or contrasting anything, you can prove both sides and just makes for a wonderful waste of space. seeing as how both sides never bring you to a new understanding of those apples and oranges. a hat will always have something in common with a locomotive. saying that lateralus is better than 10,000 days offers no insight, only fluff. if you want to have an actual interesting debate, you should've bailed on the poll idea (or smoked the poll idea if you enjoy that sort of thing) and maybe asked what 10,000 days means to us in the context of the rest of the tool canon. how this album perhaps sheds some light on some older topics, addressed in prior albums (like your precious lateralus), etc.

the word slang itself denotes that the word is something popular and is relatively novel for the time... these words come and go and aren't really worth getting mad over. if you really dont like them, adopt them into your own speech in order to point out the ridiculousness of the use of the word in the first place. for instance, i use "crunk" quite often. however, i've never been "crunk" nor would ever seriously believe that i am "crunk" as opposed to something else. my use of the word is for humors sake and that only, my saying it makes the word sound stupid. it's fun and healthier than getting furious or punching friends.

"rebellion (lies)" by the arcade fire seems to sound very similar to "that's entertainment" by the jam... specifically the music. the vocals dont resemble one another at all.

i heard the newest single and quite liked it.

i have bad allergies usually, but so far they havent hit me (knock on wood). i use flonase, which you spray up your nose. it seems to work. and when my eyes get itchy i put eyedrops in them. not visine because that has a steroid in it. some other stuff. im just allergic to spring/summer. i think the smog makes it worse. im not sure. lets hope my allergies dont activate at all this year.
