  1. yes, amon tobin is excellent. you should check out four tet if you already haven't. i don't have anything of theirs on this computer to upload. maybe later this eve when i get home.
  2. well you would, i suppose. since you read this thread. i think its interesting how people automatically assumed he committed suicide, thats all.
  3. autopsy and all that is still inconclusive... and reports are shifting now from saying that there were plenty of drugs around him to saying that there were no illegal drugs in the same room as him at the time, and that $20 bill people were claiming to be having traces of drugs, had no such traces at all. as it looks right now, it seems as though its leaning more towards being an accident, but who could say, really.
  4. doomsday mad max meets zombies with hottie rhona mitra. i'll watch it for her, but it still doesn't look very good. Paranoid Park gus van sant. nuff said. Prom Night ugh. Wittless Protection larry the cable guy? in a movie? that sounds almost as good as watching dane cook try to act. The Orphanage hispanic scarecrow children. it looks like it'll be well directed, but still looks stupid to me. Step Up 2: The Streets ZOMGZ!!! i suppose this one is supposed to be 'edgier'... the girl looks pretty. i want to know why she's dancing in the rain. apparently, she's a very experienced actress, having worked on other monumental projects such as the video for linkin park's 'numb'. wow. biggups to her.
  5. havent seen it, but everyone i've spoken with so far has said it blows. i've no desire to see it.
  6. jesus christ. people will put the blame on anything to avoid even acknowledging the possibility that it was an accident.
  7. ive only listened to half of it, but i think this album is better than the last. not sure what i think of it as a whole. glad they've cut down on the 10+minute songs. guitar noodling can only sound so good for so long.
  8. you're on a roll today.
  9. he was excellent in i'm not there. that was probably my favourite role of his.
  10. yes45678 also, is "anal cancer" really the proper term? i would think "butt cancer" is far more apt.
  11. noooooooooooooooooo he was the awesomest! EDIT: found dead in mary-kate olsen's apartment?!?!?! WTF
  12. i think they both had good intentions and are criminally misunderstood. "levels of evil" made me laugh. good one.
  13. i'd take "my bologna" over "my sharona" any day.
  14. i don't think any amount of drugs could make you or your responses any more creative.
  15. he's good, although, i don't particularly think his solo toilet-flushing-avant-garde work is anything worth listening to. i'm looking forward to the album. italian pop covers, here we come!
  16. is born to run any good? i have the mayfield but can't say i've listened.
  17. artist: list of asteroids album: may be your style. album cover (too lazy to make a proper image):
  18. that's a sad justification for freedom of beliefs, don't you think? the lesser of two evils? let's face it, fanaticism of any kind is destructive, no matter who you're doing it with. in my mind everyone is free to practise whatever faith they'd like, so long as they don't impose it on me, which at this point i think the scientologists are doing far more fervently than any other religion. tom cruise might be crazy, he might not be-- regardless, that religion has found its ticket through his nutball qualities. frankly i think he'd be apeshit regardless of what faith he practices... take beck for example. he's a practising scientologist, but i've never seen him running around and yelling about it. in fact, he's the exact opposite of tom cruise: he keeps his beliefs to himself and i respect that. i think the organization is using tom cruise to their full advantage... after all, there is no such thing as bad press. also, anton, i think you should somehow base your new religion on stargate.
  19. not sure if this has been posted yet... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTKvNwyOx4E
  20. RFT came first. goliath is a reworked vers.
  21. yeah i agree with you. normally these sorts of flubs happen slowly over time, and you're able to forgive them somewhat... but all at once? what bothers me the most is that they say their marriage and love being something that only comes around every 1000 years? jesus christ. with the amount of problems they've been through together, i don't think anyone would wish that kind of "love" on themselves. while these changes might make for interesting plot twists and character development, i doubt that it will ever turn out that way. he needs a new venom. or something to shake the franchise up beside his unmasking himself. how many months has it been since he revealed his identity? did they pursue that at all?
  22. new song on their myspace. sounds kinda bland. like a perfect circle had a child with evanescence and some soda crackers.
  23. that's just an interpretation though, a song is more than just the lyrics. seeing as how they were used throughout the film, i'm more than certain that they were there more for mood and their gay "twee" sound than for people to necessarily listen to the lyrics. not that i'm defending the use of the song or anything. i just wanted to point out that meaning is not static, especially when the context changes.
