they're not gonna change the name, guys. get over it. to be honest, i'd prefer another cantrell solo album to a new alice album with a new singer. but for whatever reason jerry doesn't feel that his voice is strong enough to lead a band so i'm guessing that will never happen. i think william does the songs justice, and i'm sure the album will be great - will's own band ain't too shabby, so it's not like the guy can't hang, not to mention he and cantrell have been working together for quite some time now, so they've obviously got a good chemistry - but i'll never be fully comfortable with a foursome alice that doesn't include layne.

i'm a huge fan of fleetwood mac, and most of the demos and such they included on the tusk and rumours reissues were not worth my time. so i don't think it matters how much of a fan you are. i was excited to hear them, and thoroughly disappointed once i had. i have several other albums by different artists that have suffered this same fate. it sounds to me like your manic street preachers know how to do it, but i think they may be the exception to the norm.

i always hate the crap they stuff these deals with. when you hear it you always know why you've never heard it before. and then you wonder why you're hearing it now. and you never listen to it again.

ha! i love it. gish is always gonna be my favorite smashing pumpkins album. it's probably for sentimental reasons, but i don't care, nothing else comes close to it for me.

the only review i've read was in blender and it was a good one as well. i've had a reeeally shitty day and i am finding that it is rather soothing. kinda like hot tea. or a nice fat joint.
