I just referenced the module listings for my university and there's no requirement for the first year that isn't related to engineering somehow. Maybe in the upper years there's some sort of requirement.

Engineering students don't earn Bachelor of Arts degrees, they earn Bachelor of Engineering degrees. And they sure as hell don't have to take english or other arts/humanities program.

Yeah, but it just seems strange as to why you'd be applying to both colleges and universities. One will give you a degree and the other won't, and the whole experience between the two is much different.
