So, do you stick mainly with chord/strumming, or do you do any soloing? I do a lot of improvisational soloing on guitar, and I found the neck just a bit too thick to do that comfortably. On the real 335, though, it was heaven, and it just sounds beautiful. I'd just need to mortage my house to pay for it, though.

What's with insulting surburban kids? Dude, we have to make LONG car rides just to get downtown. Just because we get a first-class education, have 2 SUV's in our driveway and live in crime-free neighbourhoods doesn't mean we're not oppressed. I mean, damn, there isn't a Second Cup or a Starbucks for blocks, and the parking spaces at the malls are filled up by the time you get there...

The way I see it, by the time kids are old enough to understand the concept of being gay, they're old enough to know whether or not they are gay themselves. Besides that, studies indicate that even kids raised by gay couples will turn out to be just like kids raised in "normal" families.

Through all branches of Christianity, though, kids are ... how should I put this, "afriad" of having sex because of the church's teachings on pre-marital sex - they won't do it because its a sin, not because they don't want to get STD's or don't want to get pregnant. The end result of this is that kids are less likely to carry contraception on them, so when they do have sex, its less likely to be "safe". Bush isn't a Catholic, he's a Methodist. He just likes to hang on the laurels of the Pope because their religions fall under the Christian umbrella. Don't get confused, though, churches of various Christian doctrine do hold influence over the lives of people. In Africa, there are many people who are specifically Catholic, one of the largest regions in the world for catholicism - and you're saying the teachings of the catholic church wouldn't have any influence over them? They're taught using condoms is a sin. It only adds to the extreme amount of misinformation about AIDS in Africa in general - in some areas (especially rural areas) it is believed that having sex with a virgin will cure AIDS. So just add to the fact they believe using condoms is a sin... the church definitely has a role to play in curbing aids.
