Liberals In = Quebec & Alberta Out?
ecnarf replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
That's because so many countries only became true countries upon unification (Germany and Italy), independence from the motherland (south/central america, africa, parts of asia), or by splitting off from former giant blocs of countries (eastern and baltic europe, central asia, greece and the baltics). Canada has a very short history when you get down to it. -
Oh, Squidney, it won't be that bad. In fact, to some degree, I wouldn't mind some of the things a Harper government has so far promised to do. Some of the things, that is. Even though I don't trust the guy, I don't doubt that when he gets into office, he'll make some sort of effort to come through on his promises, because the media will be on his ass like a prison inmate on his bitch. No lube. I think the ground rules with Harper have been established. Don't get too cozy with George Bush, don't touch same sex marriage, don't turn Canada into a theocracy. I also can't stand Paul Martin's idea of eliminating the notwithstanding clause.

Clearly he is not intelligent if he is a huge stoner.

Not really. I have fairly large feet (just about size 12, I think, but it varies between companies). I also have fairly large hands. And arms. And legs. I'm also 6'1. So I guess having large appendages comes with the territory of being a fucking tree.

I knew Goodale was from Saskatoon, but Saskatchewan as a whole isn't really a red province, is it?
-
Faking intelligence. Intelligence is easy to fake. Proper grammar, pronounce your r's, clothes no more than 2 sizes too large, glasses if absolutely necessary.

To be fair, where you live, did they ever?

What the hell is the point?

To get technical on the matter, it's rather difficult to maintain a healthy vegetarian diet, especially for teens. Getting enough proten without meat requires effort on the part of the individual to specifically add things like chickpeas or soy to the diet. And thinking of the stereotype of vegetarians that I've got in my head (i.e. 13 year old girls who only love animals because they can hug an animal without being told to buzz off), I'd say some vegetarians will just eat whatever's around with the exception of meat. "Oh, look at me, I ate a banana! Take that carnivores! FUR IS MURDER!!11!11!!". Vegetarians: I'm sorry about that, really.

Being vegetarian for moral reasons is a myth. People do it for the following reasons: -to fit in, or, failing that, -to feel like they're being non-conformist

Well, technically, I'm not really that young, but if your boobs are as awesome as you say they are, then who am I to object?
-
No, I'm saying I can't spell. P.S. we should be friends because I <3 chemistry the way I <3 ice cream on a hot day.

Party pooper.

Yeah, but they suck at it.

Your fetish is scary, weird and unnatural.

Yeah, and Bill Gates is the sexiest man alive. EDIT: to answer your question, Meg, I'm thinking that "mein schnab" could mean "my boy", or "my dear"... i'm really not certain about it, though. it's been a while since i touched the stuff. now that i think about it, it wasn't even from an opera. it was from a german art song, a "lied", and so it definitely wasn't wagner. probably brahms... or the other guy who wrote tons and tons of lieder.
-
As it stands, I'm really not sure. But I remember line line from some romantic period opera... possibly a Wagner opera. "Guten aben mein schnab Guten aben mein kind. So kalt is der nacht So eisig der wind" Etc etc etc... And no I'm not an opera fan, I study this stuff in school. Hooray performing arts schools! is me knowing this attractive?

Question: was the random German disturbing?
-
Not at all, mein schnab.
-
Neither do I.

I also support the traditional definition of fair use.

They should make signs that say "I support the traditional definition of equality."
