  1. Along the same vein as the "how are you?" above-- How was the trip? Any recommendations of must-see cities/sites/buildings/etc? Was it a rejuvenating experience after all the illness and internet hassles? Were/how were your worldviews changed by travelling abroad and partaking in other countries/cultures on a separate continent? Did the experience/sights spawn any inspiration for new material? Etc.
  2. i'd always assumed he was kicking the lipstick down the sewer as a sort of glimpse of the woman's future... she'll be going to jail and presumably not be able to wear makeup or fancy clothes or partake in any of the niceties she was likely to have taken advantage of before her crime. i might just be interpreting this wrong, though. it just never seemed to make sense for him to save the criminal woman, yet condemn the homeless girl to death. unless that was the point. ...
  3. hmm, i think i see matt as more of a french horn sort of guy. not trumpet. ;)
  4. Amelie, all the way.
  5. aww, i love "every name is my name." moreso as a poem or something than as a song, but still. ah well. as for his "worst song," something bugs me about "she's got a new disguise," although i have no idea what it is or why.
  6. I think part of the mixed reception of the song is simply that it's different from all his past work. It's just not something I'd have expected coming from Matt Good. Reminds me of 30 Seconds to Mars, oddly enough. But I like it nonetheless--it's a good song.
  7. *nod* WLRRR was fun and all, but ambience is something often attempted and less often acheived... and i missed it. :/ and i'm all for the orchestra idea--it would elevate the song to a whole new level.
