  1. step 1. find the vhs (i have a pretty good idea where it is) step 2. find someone who knows how to rip the video and convert it (i might know someone who knows how to do that) i want to share the awesomeness that was this muchwest special, trust me.
  2. i believe i still have it recorded on a video tape somewhere.....
  3. I know theres a whole MuchWest (best show on muchmusic before they combined it with MuchEast and made goingcoastal) called 48 hours in the life of the Matthew Good Band. They followed the band around BC for a couple shows. a lot of behind the scenes footage of the band and on stage performances. the whole special was really cool...wish i could find a copy of it.
  4. I really like this video. Its cool to see the band perform, without it being cut up. As much as I love the released version, this version is sweet.
  5. Canadian dollars???
  6. Easily Amused the whole album....Simple Stuff i've got it on repeat, i swear. my new favorite band seriously
  7. loved the weather man reminded me a lot of myself (or who i will/would become in coming years) SPOILER: SPOILER (Highlight to View) The Part where he got into the car with his dad and his dad had "Like A Rock" playing in the car made me tear up...and when he began to give the Eulogy at his father's "funeral" and the lights went out...and when they came back on, nobody remembered that he was talking...reminded me so much of myself...just the kind of "who's that guy? oh, no one important" self-image I believe other people feel about me. I just love that movie...I'm going to have to pop it in right now.
  8. I went for Vermillion, because that should have been a huge single across Canada, but not so much. I would also say I Miss New Wave, but I don't know how "underrated" it is and it isn't on your list.
  9. I ask because they are from Winnipeg and its been a while since I've been back home. Anyway, they played at my campus tonight and I interviewed them at the radio station I work at. Here's a photo to prove it.
  10. yeah...the steal my sunshine band from Toronto aaaannnnnyyyywwwaaayyyy......they have released a new album, believe it or not. it has a song called Kookoo Docks...and its like Dr. Seuss on crack. i love it, and everyone I play it for loves it to now, i'm not guaranteeing you would love it to, but if you like offbeat music, you'll dig it... here's the lyrics: Len - Kookoo Docks all aboard to the kookoo docks where all the wonky kookoos flock where kookoo birds hide from the fox in colored wooden kookoo clocks yes, all aboard to the kookoo docks where fizzled pots wear purple smocks and ozzelets wear striped socks and the sky is filled with polka dots we'll sail down to the pixie creek where all the dew drop pixies sit what really makes the pixies sick is when you feed them pixie sticks we'll go where wimbles make their wine with rotting grapes and turpentine and all the slimy serpents climb and intertwine with violent minds we'll travel to the spiral sands where whatsits live in caravans and old giraffe with staff in hand makes spiral symbols in the sand dance with us at fire bay where all the rubber tires stay and broken tricycles are laid beneath the sky thats green is gray then we'll drift to lily cove where willy tode i'm told once dove but being such a silly lad he landed on a lilly pad come aboard and sink with us here's some tea to drink with us close one eye and wink with us close them both and blink with us keep them closed now think with us hold your breath and shrink with us now walk into the keyhole latch into the giant flower patch quick hop aboard, anchors away come on, we haven't got all day there's songs to sing and things to say there's corn to pop and horns to play and if you really want it so we'll go to where once fast is slow where everything hot is cold and up is down or so i'm told oh no, what's that doffle sound? i think this ship is going down we're too far at sea to be found all of us are going to drown we've seen the last of kookoo docks our hats will wash up on the rocks our faces will all be forgot we've got to give it all we've got fill the bucketsm close the hatch man the lifeboat, spin the wheel grab the ropes, turn the mast hooray the storm has gone at last onward bound to kookoo docks where all the wonky kookoos flock where kookoo birds hide from the fox in colored wooden kookoo clocks now...pretty zany, isn't it? give it a listen here now, i expect a few "its not that great" posts but i say, take it for what it is...complete randomness good night and good luck sodamntired
  11. i was very satisfied with the ending and the movie as a whole its was great how Cronenberg took all the cliched action movie scenes (i.e. injuries from fighting, sex, etc.) and showed them like they are in real life.
  12. http://www.myspace.com/chrishaugen there you go
  13. a very well done recut of Toy Story 2 and dialogue from Requiem for a Dream Toy Story 2 Requiem if you've seen both movies, you'll enjoy this
  14. Definetly Charlie Kaufman.
  15. Seriously, though, give me an objective reason why Crash is the best picture of 2005. You can't. i'll give you one as soon as you give me the reason why Brokeback should have one.
  16. Mc Lars - iGeneration here's a sample for everyone to give him a listen
  17. John Stewart was the host and he was hillarious. Easily the most entertaining Oscars i have seen. And I agree with Crash winning over Brokeback. Much better movie. and don't forget "It's Hard Out There For A Pimp" winning best song. That was the dopest/illest/freshest thing to happen to the oscars in a long time. wow...i am so white.
  18. talking heads - genius of love (tom tom club)
  19. how much are you asking?
  20. any photos?
  21. there is such a thing as "Too Much Will Ferrel" this was an example. i thought it was kind of funny, but definetly not one i would own/see again
  22. hillarious could be one of the funniest movies i've ever seen. watch it with a group of friends. its better with a lot of people than just by yourself
  23. Dawn of the Dead (remake) I love this movie. Its got style. I dig it.
