I saw K-Os two years ago and he was amazing... well actually it was his band that really made the show. Everyone should go check him out. Terrible: last year's Matt Good show in Kingston. I went an hour early only to see Matt, drenched in sweat, wheeled into an ambulance. It was pretty terrifying. As for terrible performances... Broken Social Scene. Just because there's 20 something-odd members doesn't mean they can escape the pile of shit that is their live show.

Have A Cigar

Their cover sucks. -
Am I the only one who thinks its a bit weird to stand at a show and write down the songs he's played?
-
I think this whole thing would work a lot better if the results weren't posted until the end of each round.
-
For some reason I love it now. I find it relaxing. Song For The Girl on the other hand? What a piece.
-
I only voted for "True Love Will Find You In The End" because it's his weakest album closer yet.
-
That's probably because it was likely written during or shortly after the White Light tour.
-
That review was BRUTAL! But I do agree that the length of Champions of Nothing is quite unnecessary.

Huh? I'm pretty sure it's the radio's decision whether an artist's songs get played on the radio, not the artist themselves. If Matt could release any song he wanted and have it played on the radio do you think Alert Status Red or Rico would have been singles?
-
Yeah I'm wondering if Ryan actually came down to the studio or if his part is taken from a previous recording they made together. You would think somebody would have mentioned it or included him in the photographs at the warehouse.
-
Agreed. That was awesome.
-
I've been trying to get them for Kingston tomorrow... but nobody at the station seems to have a clue what I'm talking about.
-
From what I know, someone just has to pick up the tape or dvd (or pay shipping to have it mailed to them) and upload it. I'd do it... except I live in Ontario. It just makes sense that that one of the fans in Alberta or BC does this... and I know there are a lot of you.

Super Creepy Strange Days Cover

I think its pretty awesome that 9-year-olds know a Matthew Good song... let alone the fact that they can quasi-play it. -
The New Smashing Pumpkins

The b-sides for Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness were better than most of its album tracks too though... and that album is amazing. Still... Zeitgeist sucks. -
"the New Odds"

Besides the fact that Pat Steward is the man, the Odds were (are?) a pretty great band. This is good news to me. -

Yeah... it's a good thing Matt Good would never do anything like that... ;) -
Matt doesn't wear make-up or cater to legions of screaming 14 year-old girls.
-
Yeah... add to my list: Blue Skies Over Bad Lands Prime Time Deliverance
-
Add to that Oh Be Joyful, Alert Status Red and Rico. Swearing is hardly ever a factor in determining singles.

Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness -
Based on what usually classifies as "essential" on iTunes: All the radio singles +: Fearless Deep Six Fated Giant Suburbia Running For Home Tripoli Truffle Pigs Pledge of Allegiance Either Avalanche or Hunting Rabbits...possibly both Put Our Your Lights We're So Heavy With the exception of the White Light songs, these seem to be a few that fans talk about quite often. Not all are my favourites... but then again most things on the iTunes Essentials aren't.

I don't really like videos that seem to hang on every word of the song they're portraying.
