It's going to sound cliche but I really do prefer their older stuff from the Fat Records years. I saw them 4 times back then. When I found out it was them who did "Swing Life Away" I almost threw up a little in my mouth. -
I don't understand why the CD Single needs an explanation?

Clumsy was decent and even Happiness Is Not A Fish that You Can Catch is passable As a young'n I remember liking Superman's Dead... but to this day I can't tollerate anything with Raine Maida on vocals. Though, I suppose in a way he was the worst/best thing that could have happened to Our Lady Peace. -

They haven't made a decent record since Naveed. -
I can do it so long as I have the tape (or a copy) by February 17 cause that's when I'll be home from University and have the equipment to do it.

There's gotta be someone here with the gadgetry to do it. I feel like I could be able to... but I don't know much about this sort of thing. Wouldn't it be easiest to convert the VHS to DVD, then worry about the audio?

From www.matthewgood.com, I think that means no Warne. Though I can't complain about the job he's done in the past, I think it's great that Matt's doing things a little different this time around.

Something tells me a lot of it is semi-autobiographical.

Educated Bombs = Smart Bombs = http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/sys...tions/smart.htm Also... I'm quite sure Black Helicopter is not strictly about Helicopters that are black. If anybody doesn't know about the term "Black Helicopter", start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_helicopters

Are we not talking about a VHS tape and not a cassette?

Sorry to get off-topic but I read somewhere that Brian Byrne's solo record hit #1 in Isreal. If any of you guys remember I Mother Earth, he was the singer that replaced Edwin. It was shocking because he didn't seem to make a dent in the charts here I'm wondering how he got any sort of distrubution that that far away? Sticking on topic: Firstly Geoff, it's awesome that you're taking the time to answer our questions, no matter how dumb they might be. I remember reading somewhere that during the recording of Underdogs there were a few songs that didn't make it on the record, some recorded, some not. One of those not to have been recorded is the now famous "Should've Been A Super Villain". Just wondering if you could give us anything about songs that you remember jamming but not recording, or those that you maybe altered drastically while in the studio. Did you do any covers songs as warm up before recording?

No kidding. Especially ones involving bands/artists and their music. But... freedom of expression I suppose.

Out of curiosity, what did you guy's think of the "While We Were hunting Rabbits" video on In A Coma?
-
It's obvious that a lot of work was put into these, but equally obvious that not a lot of thought went into them. I'm not trying to bash them... but it's neat when people come up with original ideas for videos that aren't word-by-word representations of the lyrics. The one for 21st Century Living basically takes aspects of the weapon video and splices it, ironically, with images from the 20th Century. The second is better in my opinion... but comes of as something better suited for an Our Lady Peace or Dallas Green video and not, our beloved friend, Matthew Good.

You mean Pete Townshend? The genius behind The Who? He's more of Matt's idol than his friend, I believe (since I think they only met on one occasion and he mistook Matt for a roadie).

I suppose I should provide a bit of evidence as to why I think I know the titles for #5, #6, and #7. 5. Single Spark Explosion 6. Prost-Elite 7. Open Window

For some reason I can't see Matt naming a song after one of his dogs, no matter how important they are to him. At least not so blatantly. But you're right in so far as it's got to be a short one word title... I was thinking 'Home' as in 'The Boy Come Home'... but maybe that's because I so badly want that song on the album.
