I'm aware. It just seems appropriate, and what could it hurt?

Has anyone thought to ask Matt what he thinks of all this? He once stated he had a problem with video and audio bootlegging because it was presenting his work in a manner (or quality) beyond his control. I think if a street team is designed to help promote Matt and his work, then the best person to consult about any or all aspects of this would be Mr. Good himself. To leave him out of the picture completely almost defeats the purpose of this entire undertaking.

I thought Indestructable was pretty great acoustic.

I like this idea. Spreading the asshole, so to speak.

TV is for sellouts.

I dunno whether anyone else has done this but when I was younger I would make mix cds and write "Listen To Me" on them and leave them on busses, taped to street lamp poles, park benches, etc. Not as part of a street team, but just because I didn't think I was alone in my incessant desire to hear new music. Is that weird?

I think he might have chosen Black Helicopter, rather than some of the other overtly political songs because it conveys a feeling of paranoia and the inability to trust anyone... issues Matt has admitted living with. It really is a brilliant song.

It sound weird, but if there is one place in the United States that I could see Matt getting any sort of attention, it's Texas. They'd probably call him a pinko commie bastard and try to shove pitchforks up his ass. Someone's been watching a little too much King of the Hill. Sometimes I think there should be a "Talking To Canadians" special.

How do you know the album track will be over a minute? He did mention that it was "one of those pieces he was talking about" and that "pieces are NOT songs."

Matt "chickening out" of releasing a song because it's too political seems VERY unlikely. Listen too "Pledge of Allegiance", "In A World Called Catastrophe", "21st Century Living", and almost the entire White Light Rock & Roll Review album. He has his reasons for not including the song and I'm sure they're good ones.

I dunno... was that even really a song or more an experimental intro to Metal Airplanes?
-
Oh Jesus, I didn't even notice that. Didn't he explicitly state that it would be on this record? Bonus Track?!? Seriously, I doubt it. But I'm guessing there will be quite a few b-sides this time around given that he anticipated possibly making a double record. If I Was A Tidal Wave Breath of a Nation Can't Get Shot In The Back Prost-Elite (Though he may have simply changed the title)

Children Of Men.... Some nice effects and camera work... but overall it was art-house garbage.

Funny enough, he does. He has an extensive collection of vintage guitars and basses.
