How do you record the shows? do you just put a mic up to a PA monitor and a have a high pass filter on them?

Well, These 3 are the albums that come up THE most often. Granted all of the ones you mentioned are fantastic (it is the stones were talking about) these 3 are just usually held up as THE best of the stones.

I've been arguing with people for days as to what one is best, and these 3 are the ones that always come up. I have to say Some Girls is #1 for me, as its truly a classic album. Anyone else here have an opinion on this or are the stones to ancient for everyone?

Im pretty sure that when he says "dimed" hes refering to everyone having been sold off for a price. some people use the expression to say things like "oh, that clock was dimed at $50" or anything like that. In this case matt used it to refer to society. Classic Matt. And you can fail the rorschach test by responding to what it looks like as "Me. having sex with your mother!" every time.

I think they recently did a cover of supertramps "give a little bit". Thats a great song, supertramp or not.

WLRRR went gold much slower than avalanche, which went gold quite quickly, but then kind of stopped. Its a shame that his work doesnt sell as well as it deserves. And as for LOTGA going gold, it is a REALLY good album, not to mention the highest selling canadian indy CD in history if i recall correctly

I could only imagine the angst they'd have trying to battle a major US network like Fox. I've always wondered: what if a local bar band decides to cover someone's song. Are they allowed to?? Its perfectally fine. how it works is that if the ticket chargre for ANY show you play (bars, clubs, your best friend barmitzvah) is $6 or more, u fill out a form to SOCAN, have the person in charge of the show sign it, then send it to SOCAN and they will pay you money accordingly. if you do all covers then you make less money as some is sent to the artist who wrote the song i beleive, but you would still recieve some.

WAY too poor for another show. I cant even afford to take a subway to and from school every day and am forced to walk 2 hours daily. At least I wont get fat......for now...
