  2. it was announced on the radio (CFNY).
  3. Toronto date just announced: Oct 26 @ Massey Hall
  4. you have to download and install BitTorrent first...you can get it here: http://bittorrent.com/ once you install it, click on the file you downloaded and it should start downloading... and for the guy above who wanted the setlist: 1. Blue Skies Over Bad Lands 2. Put Out Your Lights 3. Poor Man's Grey 4. In Love With A Bad Idea 5. Weapon 6. Alert Status Red 7. North American For Life 8. Little Terror 9. It's Been A While Since I Was Your Man 10. Hello Time Bomb 11. Load Me Up 12. Apparitions -------------------------- 13. Big City Life 14. Buffalo Seven 15. Empty Road 16. Can't Get Shot In The Back If You Don't Run
  5. well, when i recorded this one, i was standing (actually, it was more like leaning) on the soundboard rig holding the mic pointed at the stage...tech guys were walking back and forth and didn't say anything to me... i'm sure they saw me taping the show as i didn't hide the fact i was taping it at all...the stage was quite far from the soundboard, so i don't think Matt could really see me at all unless he looked at the soundboard (which he didn't)... maybe it was because it was an outdoor show as well...there wasn't a lot of security and people could just come and go as they pleased off the street...
  6. i've never gotten anything off the hub, but I taped the Yorkfest show and you can download it here: http://www.easytree.org/torrents-details.php?id=12179 if there aren't any seeds, just lemme know and I'll try and seed it (but i'm experienceing problems with seeding this show for some reason)...
  7. are you behind a firewall? that might be a problem... otherwise, i'd just leave the window open for 20 minutes...if you don't connect by then, i'm not sure what the problem is...
  8. just put the torrent file you downloaded into the folder with the FLAC file...then just click on the torrent file and it'll scan the existing FLAC file...once it sets up, it'll show that you are uploading (not downloading)...and then you'll be seeding!
  9. whoops...sorry about that...here it is: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-flac.htm
  10. hey there...here's what I usually do with these shows... first, download and install DBPowerAmp music converter here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm this will allow you to convert the show into whatever file format you'd like (WAV, MP3, etc)... then, download the FLAC codec here (the converter doesn't come with it, so you'll have to install this as well)... once you install these, you can convert the FLAC file into whatever format you'd like to listen to... I don't care if you convert them into MP3 (unlike other tapers), however, keep it to personal use and don't sell this show...and please share freely... thanks.
  11. hey guys...just noticed there are no seeds...i'll open up my window for you guys...but be patient cause i'm on limited bandwidth right now... ok, i had to upload the torrent again cause the tracker wasn't letting me seed for some reason...you can find it here now: http://www.easytree.org/torrents-details.php?id=12179
  12. well...for this particular show, i just put a blank md into the player, leaned against the soundboard, held an external mic in my hand for about an hour and pressed "record"...that was it
  13. yes, it was an outdoor concert (if you listen really closely when Matt talks, you can hear TTC buses driving by)...and i actually don't own an MD player, my school aloows me to take them out for projects and such so I figured i'd just use their MD players for taping shows...i'm not sure the model number, but i can check next time i take one out...and i'll keep the bass levels in mind next time (although, the ones the schools has automatically reduce the bass if it gets to loud)...thus why you can actually hear the high end of this show ;)
  14. If you didn't see my other thread, you may download the Yorkfest show here: http://www.easytree.org/torrents-details.php?id=11659 enjoy!
  15. cool man...let me know what you think of the show...i think the sound quality is pretty good myself (sounded better on the MD than it does now)...
