Most Under-rated Mg(b) Song?
Devil On Rollerskates replied to here is no why's topic in Matthew Good
Bespin: The Betrayal is hilarious (especially as a Star Wars fan). Lone Gunman is great, it's fantastic but what the hell is he saying?!?! "I'll be your lone gunman and I'll wash the dirt from your skin" is all I can make out. -

Good stuff I missed. Can`t believe I missed the LOTGA stuff. I actually like Middle Class Gangsters, it's a fun tune with great solo. Love the "it used to matter when we used to rock" part. That Fall Of Man part is awesome too. I`m gonna have to listen to that more closely. -

Ironic I missed that one... Yeah, that's as good a guess as any, it kinda sounds like "look now" to me. -

Definitely under-appreciated. Love the opening lyrics "Hey midnight/turn on your lights/roll out your stars". Great vocals, especially in the "don't wanna be so wide awaaaaaaaaaaake" part. I wonder if that part was an intentional reference to Failing The Rorschach Test.

The Thing That Should Not Be - Metallica -
I dunno what people in general think, or if they care at all, but I think some of these are pretty cool in the context of the song. For example, someone in the Vancouver megathread said a while back that Us Remains Impossible gets good after the "here we go" part. I personally like the "oh" in I Miss New Wave just before it gets heavy, and "whiz bang" in Look Happy. Thoughts?

2009 Matthew Good (band) Elimination

1) Champions of Nothing (Massey Hall) 2) Let's Get It On (I agree, underrated) 3) Change of Season 4) Fated (though I agree Bright End Of Nowhere is underrated, I still like Fated more) 5) Flight Recorder From Viking 7 6) It's Been Awhile Since I Was Your Man 7) Invasion 1 (tough one) 8) Avalanche (Massey Hall) (tough one, though the original album version is awesomely fantastically great, this song is killer in any live version) 9) Prime Time Deliverance (Underdogs) -
That was probably Toronto, during Can't Get Shot. He stopped mid-song and said something to the effect of "Is this a fucking pinhead convention? I could understand if I was Korn, but it's just me up here with a fucking acoustic guitar" which 99% of the audience cheered for. I guess the moshing continued, because then he said (again this is paraphrased) "Yeah that's really fucking funny. Grow the fuck up". He then apologized to the rest of the crowd for the disruption and finished the song.

Agreed. If Matt had the kind of success internationally that PJ has, we'd probably see longer shows and more "obscure" tracks, and for a reasonable amount of money. As Matt said in his post, "What -

Yeah, I know those were all remixed but HTB was the one that really stood out for me as being better than the original. I might want to relisten to the remixes. I do remember Strange Days not having as much echo to it, and Load Me Up being heavier. The remixes of Deep Six and EIA I felt were too clean sounding, part of the charm of Underdogs was the raw, unprocessed feel of it. 1. Someone mentioned how the U.S. version is missing I Miss New Wave. 2. The censorship of the titles in said version was said to be a result of the Columbine massacre. 3. I mentioned how people blamed the wrong things for said tragedy, including Manson. 4. Video was posted of Manson making very astute observations about popular culture. 5. No discussion really involved his music, his persona, etc. just that he made some very good points. Sorry if that sounds like a smartass answer, but you did ask.

Marilyn Manson seems to be very well spoken and smart...I'm very impressed with how he kept his cool in the O'Reilly interview (it would be very difficult for me lol) and I liked the way he ended it.

So do you not like that song, or just wanted one or two more songs? Not clear on the bitter taste thing.
