I'm with Lauren on this one. The first one just looks weird to me on repeat, unless you can randomize how the tiles look. If it's going to be a repeating tile I prefer it to be a continuous unbroken/solid pattern. The repetition of something like the first one just doesn't jive with me.

Quake 2, via my browser. It's a very nice throwback to the old days of Unreal Tournament on my crap-tastic home PC that could (unbelievably) run it with few problems.

A friend of mine is dead set on going to see it in 3D on shrooms. Personally, I think it's a terrible idea with the confined space and all, but meh. Should make for a good story.
