They opened for Matt in Montreal last year.. pretty crap, they were trying wayyy too hard on stage. -

I'm surprised they've chosen that to be the single instead of Vermicide.. which has single written all over it. -

Hmm, the Viscera Eyes I have is 9 minutes and a bit, and its friggin awesome. so the moral of the story is, size does matter sir. -

so does frances -
Ohhh Dredg, they are pretty cool.. aside from the mindnumbingly bad lyrics sometimes. "It really seems unfair But lately I don't care I don't care about much I've given up trying" hahaha.. but seriously, the drummer is bad ass live. He MAKES the band. And another great underappreciated cd imo is Change by the Dismemberment Plan.. really great!

Yup, its an allright cd. And Day of the Baphomets is a real solid track, one of their best. -
I didn't know they were reuniting.. this is amazing news! I never got the chance to see them perform, by the time I started to really listen to them they had already broken up. Its always been a dream of mine that they would play one more show. To actually get that chance to be there now is shweeeeet. I am soooo pumped. On topic, the pink Melloncollie cd would be my favorite, followed by Adore and Siamese Dream.

I'm gonna go out there a bit and say Blue Skies Over Badlands. Or maybe Near Fantastica. but I remember seeing Blue Skies Over Badlands in Ottawa a couple years back (I believe it was the opening song of the set) and it was flat out incredible.

I decided to post again (and yes, that's an achievement)

uhh, ok. avalanche > hail to the thief (which is mediocre at best). why does anyone compare anything that relates to musical greatness directly with radiohead? of course the Bends, Kid A and Ok Computer are fantastic, but they're so overhyped its not even funny. Maybe I just don't get it.

Saw them live last night in Toronto. Rough crowd, but easily the best band I've ever seen live. They ROCKED. New Born and Plug in Baby back to back was orgasmic. Knights of Cydonia to finish of the encore was amazing (we galloped, lol) Their lighting and stage setup was mindblowing.. what a spectacular performance.

Yess.. Come to Ottawa! And distance wise, Montreal is about 2 hrs from Ottawa and Ottawa is around 5 from Toronto. Both Ottawa and Toronto have great public transit systems (buses, trains and stuff). Niagara Falls is certainly worth checking out (I guess its about an hour to an hour and a half from Toronto).
-
lol jtb.. the 97 has nothing on the 86. i take that to my girlfriend's and its like entering a whole new world. basically, elmvale sucks
-
ooooh.. and you could always take the O-Train. Now THAT'S a classy way to travel. But honestly, its a good transit system aside from the CREEPOS. ;) Only problem with Carleton is that it isn't very "central", so to get anywhere fun, (i.e. the market) you'll need to take a couple buses or mooch a ride.
-
Lucky for you if you go to Carleton, your life will become public transit. You can make for all those missed hours on the bus and then some. ;)

Well, now that it's out.. I've been listening to it over and over at work and I'm not too sure what to think yet, its certainly not the Muse I'm used to. Some people are calling it a masterpiece "Muse's OK Computer" and others think that it's total crap. Right now I fall in the middle somewhere. Its just ok. Maybe it will grow on me.. Best songs? I'd say Starlight, Supermassive black hole, Map of the problematique, Invinsible

I'm so pumped to see them! But hey, if you're in Toronto.. there's still tickets left for Muse, I think. July 30th @ the Docks! 35 bucks, check it out
