  1. let's do it. make the league!! im in a yahoo league.. hows this for the most stacked lineup ever? C - Joe Thornton LW - Markus Naslund RW - Marian Hossa F - Jaromir Jagr F - Pavel Datsyuk F - Brendan Morrison D - Wade Redden D - Bryan McCabe D - John Michael Liles (what a very pleasant surprise.) D - Sami Salo Util - Milan Hejduk Util - Ladislav Nagy IR - Patrik Elias G - Evgeni Nabakov G - Jose Theodore G - Andrew Raycroft
  2. All i know is that some girls in the background chant "Anti-Pop" at the end. That's all i can make out. Heh heh make out. Sweet, I'm sleepy It feels like the real thing The doctors are confident the pills always win Its like constantly travelling But you don't feel a thing And the parts of you forgotton are all unearthed thanks for the suburbia lyrics. ohhh ya it does sound like theyre chanting "anti! pop! anti! pop!"
  3. How could the MGB rip off The Watchmen? MGB's Underdogs came out on August 25th 1998 The Watchmen's Silent Radar came out on March 31st 1998 That would give the MGB 5 months to listen to Silent Radar, write similar songs, record those songs, produce the album, promote the album, the whole record label ordeal, etc... Then Beautiful Midnight came out which sounds nothing like The Watchmen Plus they were originally set to record Underdogs when the Foo Fighters were recording "The Colour and The Shape" (because the guy who produced that record was originally supposed to produce Underdogs) and that record came out May 20th 1997 Underdogs came out in 1997. I'm pretty sure of that. Because August 25th 1998.. Apparitions would have been 1-2 weeks away from hitting #1 on Muchmusic. Since songs take roughly 10-13 weeks to hit #1.. apparitions was already "old" and on its way down in many places.. i doubt the album would have been released during the time the 3rd single was about to fall down the charts.. oh the hell with logical explanations.. according to my advance promo copy of underdogs.. it says "release date: 10-07-97".. oct 7 97. which makes sense.. it would have been around the time EIA was released. and the guy who produced underdogs was warne livesey.. if he produced the colour and the shape.. (which is an awesome album) give that man a prize of sorts.. he produced pretty much every album by mgb.. except LOTGA and Ray-Ray.
  4. what DOES he sing in the outro of antipop? and does anyone know what the lyrics are for the extended version of suburbia?? all i can make out is: lay down sleepy head.. the doctor's are confident.. but i could be wrong.. also.. my friend was in my car and hello time bomb came on.. and he'd never heard it.. or at least he didnt recognize it (i assured him it was a very popular song in canada in 1999).. anyway.. during the part where it goes "dirty enough i got me a love and its so bad" he was like "wtf.. did he just say: dirty enough like hot meat loaf.. its so bad" haha ever since that.. i can actually hear matt sing it like that.
  5. me too. I didn't hear kickass right away. there's a lot of mysteriously opaque/white noisey parts in matt's music. to this day I'm not sure what is said in the middle of avalanche, or before and during the outro for antipop. i thought that he was just like scatting sort of?? ba-di-ba-bah-bah. or something.. and i believe the choir or whatever.. is chanting fight fight fight fight.. haha at least that's what i hear. ill reopen the misheard lyrics thread.

  11. First I paired off all the same name tracks. I.e. Near Fantastica (HOSAM) vs Near Fantastica and the rooms songs against their originals.. for the rest.. i listed the songs in discographical order.. i.e. alabama motel room = 1st song raygun = #12 deep six =#16 and so forth.. then i took my mp3 player.. put it to shuffle mode.. and pressed next. whatever song track came up. i looked for the corresponding number.. so if song number #47 started playing.. i looked at the list and chose chose #47. and so forth. that's why there were some really chainsaw-vs-chihuahua (born to kill vs umbrellaless) type matches and other matches that were definitely round 2 or 3 calibre (we're so heavy vs 21st century... or giant vs empty road)

  18. Sounds like a late fan to me! My first TRUE exposure to the Matthew Good Band was seeing 'Everything Is Automatic' debut on the Muchmusic Top 30 Countdown back in September of 1997. BUT, I might have heard 'Symbolistic White Walls' on the radio prior to that; I can't remember. speaking of that. how did EIA only peak at #6?!

  20. what a fag That was lame. At least throw in some creativity for your unwarranted slander.
  21. that's because no one would be there. ;)
  22. K-Os' current single "dirty water" is w/ sam roberts. so perhaps that will mean sam roberts will release his disc soon.. a lot of artists tend to release their own material RIGHT after the feature on another artist's single.
  23. Guilty Pleasure Band... Matthew Good Band. ;) I know, I know.. I must be crazy to listen to them.. Please dont kill me.
