  1. he needs his anger back. he went from writing amazing lyrics from the MGB days to mediocre at time lyrics now.. MGB: the truth is not radio friendly. MG: oh be joyful cause that shit spreads. i think you can see which is obviously a better lyric
  2. what about little terror.. with that guitar riff.. i wish he didnt do apparitions or strange days. theyre not that different from the originals.. something like radio bomb or.. or.. indestructible.
  3. really.. Mr. Rogers?? that's pretty awesome actually. i'm going to go listen to it again
  4. i believe it was the congo part?? when he's doing the whole "let's make the world less intelligent.. more beautiful"... and how william morrison used congo music.. speaking of william morrison.. is it just me.. or did his voice.. NOT match what helooked like (the alan smithee guy from Future is X-Rated)
  5. The edgefest 99 cd doesnt have the cough.. neither does the molson canadian 3-track discs from 1999? or 2000? So it was new to me. I liked it!
  6. he should have done Advertising as a piano song for In a Coma.. but that's just me. thanks for the tabs though!
  7. you know. if some selfish bastard won the prize. we'd all be enjoying videos for NF and 21st century living right now. i thought he DID have a contest or something when he injured his knee.. he said he would be taking submissions for an NF video.. anyway.. there IS an NF video i cant remember who made it.. its fan made of course.. and it's just one of those "culmination of all the old videos" type videos.. so it's clips of the other music videos while NF plays.. it was made in 2004.. because clips of Alert Status Red make an appearance..
  8. i agree.. at least the start of the video when the rabbits come crashing through the wall.. and he's chasing them.. i was expecting him to do something.. than just turn into a monkey. the video didnt match the song at all.. but it was still pretty awesome animation..
  9. I dont know.. for me I didnt see the point for Apparitions or Strange Days as acoustics.. apparitions specifically didnt sound much different than the original one.. or the acoustic versions that were put on those compilation discs.. i still think hello time bomb proved that its the type of song that should stay uptempo.. someone mentioned that the slowness made the lyrics fit better... id disagree.. saying "push and push and push till it hurts.." really needs the rockin' edge.. it almost makes it sound like he's whimpering during sex or something.. dont get me wrong i like it.. i just think it is better suited as a rocker... north american for life on the other hand.. i think he did that one beautifully.. it's amazing how dark his voice sounds.. and the synthesizer (at least thats what i THINK it is) they used for the background... it's gold.. and he took out the george bush lyric.. which only makes it better.. prime time deliverance and advertising on police cars.. those were solid.. and tripoli especially was amazing.. i think its a close 2nd behind NA4L for me..
  10. haha that line from parable is awesome
  11. anton.. or any mod for that matter.. would it be possible to have these threads posted under "important topics" and as they get closed you can put them back to forum topics.. and keep the most current voting thread on the important forums.. so its easier to find and keep track of the votes?? if that's not possible or just too inconvenient that's okay too. thanks. side note: voting for this group will end on sunday night. group B will be posted on monday.
  12. I'm pretty sure that's been said like 20 times.. and yet people still dont listen for some reason....
  13. haha i was thinking the exact same thing. a bunch of cds say copy controlled.. but none of them have ever prohibited me from copying to my hard drive..
  14. i agree. nice work!
  15. Push or Euphony. that's a great demo tape. ooh if birds dont fly straight is pretty solid as well

  17. well wouldnt you all agree that your top 10 today would be different than your top 10 tomorrow?? not completely different 6-7 songs would still be there.. but there would be 3-4 that might change after you put in album you havent listened to in a while.. usually LOTGA.. and you fall in love with another song again? maybe im being crazy but that's how it is for me. ill listen to one song.. and then fall in love with it.. then the next track will cause me to fall in love with IT.. good thing it's just music and not women.. or id be on jerry springer for sure.
  18. why thank you anton. i must say i am flattered ;) ill start one later tomorrow! (friday sept 23).. it's 218am in toronto.. so i think that's 1118am in vancity where most of you are.. so that means its still thursday for you guys.. in regards to the topic.. this is quite the crazy list.. it's insane.. i think the beauty of making lists.. is that if you were to re do the list again.. it wouldnt be the same..
  19. I completely agree. I found the background was very haunting. You should try to listen to it loudly when you're alone at a bus stop in the evening. It'll make you feel like you're the only thing that's in existence.
  20. oh man that video was sooo coool.. the art was confusing at a couple of points but the ending was awesome... thanks "peter" for sharing it. i spent 20 min looking for it and got annoyed.. lol i was convinced my version was like the joke version and it didnt have the video lol.
  21. only the ones at MJ's house in the boys' room heyo!
  22. oh well thanks anyway.. thanks for the heads up!
  23. I'm not sure if I'm the only one having difficulties with the source code for the IAC countdown or not, but when I copied and pasted the source code for the countdown banner from Anton's thread, I posted it into my journal but all that comes up are what would be the equivalent of pressing enter for about 6 lines down. Then the regular text of the rest of my entry appears. Is there anyone experiencing a similar problem? or better yet, know how to remedy the problem?
  24. well big city life will be on the new disc.
