  3. Woah.. let's not go too far They are stupidly talented but they do make pretty amazing music.. their newest album, not so much, but I thought Train of Thought was fantastic Comparing them in any respect to Dragonforce is just ridiculous.. they're pretty awful, I can agree with that

  5. I'm trying to re-record The Boy Who Could Explode using garageband and it's coming along fairly well but, I can't seem to figure out what that ambient sound at the beginning is that lasts through the verses as well. Sounds like some kind of scratching or something in the background.. Just wondering if anyone had any idea how he would get that sound?? The demo has it as well so it's probably not something done in the studio exclusively that can't be done at home.. Any feedback would be great. Thanks, Pete. ....here's the first minute and a half that sounds a bit empty without it.. The Boy Who Could Explode (Cover)

  16. Jason Collett - Hangover Days
  17. Playing it the same way without the capo would just modulate it down a tone.. but if you want to play it in the same key just find the right chord voicings (that are different from when the capo was on) and go from there. It won't sound the same, but it'll still be the right chords.

  25. I'd probably go with a smaller list at first with some of the best ones (maybe 7 or 8)..that should turn them onto Matt enough that they'll start to look into even more themselves. That's usually how I get into listening to a new band. Maybe something like this... (although it's going to change in about an hour for me..but this list seems to work pretty well when it comes to good song-writing). Avalanche Sort of a Protest Song House of Smoke and Mirrors Weapon Last Parade We're So Heavy Strange Days Running for Home
