What's The Last Thing You've Eaten?
decomposinglight replied to Prometheon's topic in Open Discussion
Are you always eating grapes? Last thing I ate: My own spit during the night? -
Yeah, that could work. Or he could just list "In a relationship" but not say who. YOU DOG. Strangely enough, I also got to know my boyfriend over the internet. When MySpace was still cool. God, I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE DO THAT. A lot of my friends are still pretty young so their pages are fucking littered with that shit. I've got like 2 applications, small ones on the left side; very tasteful. And I never request anyone else to get them.

I used to fantasize about Link from Zelda in my youth. Like actually fantasize, before I even knew what getting wet was or anything. lmao.

U.s. Presidential Race
decomposinglight replied to decomposinglight's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
Wow, I didn't realize you can't edit your post after a certain time. Anyway, Hilary won 54 to 44 in Ohio so that is a pretty big margin, compared to the others. She only won by 3% in Texas (primary, not caucus). I agree that Obama will get the nomination. ---- As for the whole experience thing, I am totally not counting "first lady of us (1991-2001), first lady of arkansas (1979 -
If you are in fact dating the girl, wouldn't it be a little insensitive to have it say that you're single on your page?

If You Could See Anyone, Who Would It Be......
decomposinglight replied to darrenbacker's topic in Open Discussion
Damn, that sucks. Third Eye Blind is coming to my school's auditorium in April. It's less than a mile's walk from where I live. I could go for you, but I think I would be disappointed. I don't think their recent music has been as good as the old stuff. I would like to see: The Arcade Fire NIN Radiohead U2 Would have loved to see but can't b/c they've broken up: Dispatch -
I wholeheartedly agree. And he has so much more depth. And is more mature. And is more fuckable. He just owns.
-
Good going, because they are not that enticing. Even with the cheese. I try to avoid burgers at all costs, and it costs a lot to avoid them, seeing as burgers are like ALL they serve at uni.

Sell it, because if you're not using it, what's the point in having it? Especially when you need money. Plus it might mean something more to someone else.

It looks like a fatter, happier Kodama. Kodama are Japanese tree spirits used in many folk stories and were animated as little white bobblehead dudes in Princess Mononoke.

Why, does he look like George Harrison in it?

"And there's a fake part of me that comes off so you can read I was made by the Taiwanese in Taiwan" It's about him being a doll and having a tag on his back. I know there are deeper connotations with these things, like that he's been made/being used, the Taiwanese don't have time to laugh because they're always working, etc. but I still think it's pretty funny if you don't think about the implications. Imagine Matt ripping a tag off of his back and being like "Oh, I was made in Taiwan" or something. I think it's one of the best too, as far as listen-ability goes. It's very fun to listen to. But to me it's sort of from a bygone era where he was.. well, very youthful. That's why I said I wouldn't particularly request it at a recent show if that's what irked ya.

One word: BEAST.

Oh, ohkay, Phew. That sounds really nice. ;) Anyway my first tier favourites are: "Push," "Euphony," "Dancing Invisible," and "A Better Pain." I also like "Umbrellaless" and "Mercy Misses You," "The Ocean," and "Parable" pretty well. Almost all of them have very intricate lyrics and interesting composition, so it's hard to pick.

Talk Talk
decomposinglight replied to darrenbacker's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Maybe he just likes to talk a lot? o.O Gotta give him the benefit of the doubt if he hasn't spent any of the points. On that note I agree with hula; you don't need to have lived in the 70s to enjoy Elvis Costello. It might be a generational thing in the sense that younger people may not be exposed to it and their tastes are different, but I certainly love a lot of older bands: Beatles, Who, Led Zep, Doors, etc. And honestly I've never heard any Talk Talk. Sorry. -
U.s. Presidential Race
decomposinglight replied to decomposinglight's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
I gotta say that despite my hatred for most of his policies, Huckabee seemed like a nice guy. Plus he got the Colbert Bump. And yeah, as Brad said, McCain is actually not supporting torture. He even went as far as to say that waterboarding is torture when the other candidates said it was cool beans or had nothing to say (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/26/us/politics/26giuliani.html). Gore used to be a lot more boring than he is now, I think. -
And now no one will compliment you when you sport it around town!
-
In reference to recent stuff, at least now it might have illustrations rather than photographs since Matt seems to be getting more into drawing/editing drawings.
-
Wow. Unconventional. But he wouldn't need that much of a band for those. ;) I would have to say Avalanche. The live versions of those songs seem to be really powerful. I wouldn't want him to play "Song for the Girl," obviously.
-
There are some songs on it that I really like "We're So Heavy," "Buffalo Seven," and "Blue Skies Over Bad Lands," but it didn't have the same effect for me as other cds. I liked it, but I don't listen to it as much as Hospital Music, AOB, and others.
