  1. Guns of Carolina for me personally.
  2. Mine's most likely Non Populus. Prime Time Deliverance is a close second though.
  3. Thanks for posting that. Always loved that song.
  4. I love that the accent can be heard throughout. Definitely sets them apart. Their new album was available to stream briefly, and it's got a different sound as well. They've added an additional guitar player to the band, and it shows in the tone. Also like that they let the bass shine through. There's a couple songs where the bass player is playing chords, and it sounds really cool.
  5. Just throwing this band out there, to see if anyone's heard of them. They're from Scotland, and they've been around a few years now. They have two albums out now, and another one coming in two weeks. They've got a sound similar to Explosions in the Sky, who they've cited as a big influence. From their first album, a live recording of It's Thunder and It's Lightning, their best song: Going to see them in Toronto on October 19th.
  6. It sounds like a cross between the old Gaslight and Brian's Horrible Crowes project. I don't love it, but it is growing on me. The perfection 59 Sound will never be matched, in my opinion.
  7. It's a great track. I really hope he goes in this direction for the album. He has such a talent for writing music, across the board. I hope to hear more in this vein on the album.
  8. That's a shame. Those were great videos.
  9. Hey everyone, They announced this morning that Matt will be playing Rock The Park in London on Thursday July 24, 2014, along with July Talk, Tegan and Sara, and Weezer. http://rock.rockthepark.ca/rock-concert-lineup/ If you live in the area, I highly suggest going, as it's always a good show. I went a few years ago, and saw Wintersleep, Kathleen Edwards, and the Hip.

An acoustic tour would be great. To be honest, I'd buy tickets to any show you put on. The acoustic shows I've seen are amazing. Hearing some of the less common songs in that setting would be awesome. As long as you're coming to London... :)
  11. Yeah, I just saw that they changed that. Were saying postponed originally. Still hoping that they may add a makeup date, but I'm sure that's wishful thinking. Pretty disappointed. Oh well
  12. Just heard on the radio that tonight's show in London has been postponed.... Guess Matt is sick. Hopefully he feels better soon. I'm sure meeting VIP's after every show hasn't helped him either. No word yet on when it will be rescheduled for. Guess I'm free tonight now.
  13. YES!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who knows The Reason. Funny enough, I saw Gentlemen Husbands open for The Reason in London last year. Glad to see they're getting some national attention. Looking forward to seeing them open in a few days.

This is awesome! Kudos to Matt for starting something like this.
  15. I listened to it live, and haven't listened to the clip. However, she claimed that she was a huge fan, but hadn't even read a bio about him. She asked him about going to university, and he hasn't. It came across as weird in tone, I guess. I am just glad they featured him and his music on the station. They only play the same three old songs, so that's all people who aren't more than a casual fan would know him for. It's a shame.
  16. http://www.fm96.com/2013/09/27/matt-good-interview-acoustic-song/ Matt was interviewed on Friday, and performed "Guns of Carolina" live accoustic. The interview was awkward, as she thought she knew a lot about him, and didn't. The song sounded excellent.
  17. According to the Twitter account of Milos, the band will be comprised of himself, Jimmy Reid, Anthony Wright, and Blake Manning on drums. They're starting rehearsals today. I know Blake was on drums for the recording of LOES and most likely the new record, but has he toured with Matt before?
  18. It's funny that some of their songs reference weed, and during the London show, Matt was calling out someone in the audience for smoking it during his set.
  19. Vancouver National Anthem
  20. Gaslight Anthem are a great band to listen to. Check out anything from their last two albums.
  21. My brother and I saw Matt in London last Thursday night. What a show. The new band sounds really good together. I was disappointed when I heard there was a new guitarist, as I really liked Stu, but seeing Jimmy play was really cool. Definately a different style of guitarist, but that's not a bad thing. He has an awesome stage presence. And he was really nice when we saw him and Milos outside the venue after the show. The rest of the band gelled really well together, considering they've only been playing for a couple weeks together. I didn't really appreciate the new album until I heard it played live. Now I can't stop playing it. It sounds really good live, even though some of it doesn't translate well live. Hearing Rabbits was really cool too, although it's kind of an anticlimatic way to end the show. The band had already left when the song had ended. Overall, he put on a great show, and was really nice when we met him after. I got a CD booklet signed, and got a picture as well. I would pay the extra again for fifth row seats and the chance to shake his hand after the show.
