I've used a different free program, can't remember the name of it. Will check when I go home tonight. There's quite a few that are free, if you google how to transfer music from iPod to computer. But yes, it allows you to move the music that you have on there back onto your computer or directly into iTunes. I have the same problem, where I can't find some of my old music anymore, and have had to do this several times as I changed devices.

I feel your pain. I hate having incomplete artwork too. Drives me nuts. Just FYI, there are programs that copy the files from your iPod back onto your computer. I've used one before, and it works great.

Scary shit man. Now sure how bad it is down there, but I've seen some crazy shit, just late at night after the bars here in Canada.

Wish I had kept all my old cassettes!! See them coming back around online. Not sure why.

The only thing I can think of, which you've probably already done, is to check to see if you're syncing music from your iTunes, or adding it manually. That could be part of the problem. You could also restore it and start over, if it doesn't go away. Not sure what you would lose from starting over, but may be worth it.

The Tea Party

I'm not digging it either. They're not the same, that's for sure. Again, they're still amazing to see live, especially outside in the summer. -
Thanks for keeping all of us in the loop Matt!! I am extremely excited for the next album, just judging from the quality of your demos so far. Hoping for a London stop on that tour next year. Would love to add to my vinyl collection.

Awesome man!!

That's true, they don't seem to make it out that way, unless you travel down into the States. The last tour was in 2012, and I don't think they were out that way that time either. If you like them, you'll love them live. My friend and I were blown away by the clean sound and performance. The Twilight Sad were the openers, and they sounded terrible by comparison. Well worth the two hour drive and no sleep.

Haven't heard the Moist one. I do like the new Tea Party one, but I'm not totally sold on it. I didn't love their last album or two before the breakup, so I guess it isn't a surprise. I do think the live show makes a difference. -
You should definitely bring them. You never know what could happen. Since it's a one-off show, he might be signing stuff after.
-
That is truly an incredible setlist. You folks out west are lucky to have these shows!! Hope somebody recorded this one!!

I've only met him once, at a VIP meet and greet for LoES. He was nice but I could tell he was tired. Don't blame him in the slightest. He signed my Avalanche CD booklet. Would recommend doing it if you have the chance. Also, funny story about Milos and Jimmy. We met them after the show where we did the VIP. They were smoking outside a side entrance as we walked back to our cars after meeting Matt. They were nice as well, but they happened to be talking to a couple of attractive blonde women, so I think they were preoccupied.

I downloaded the trial for 6. It's pretty cool, although you can't do much with just the demo version. Will play with it some more. Thanks for the review.

I've used that one in the past as well, with varied results. I've also been reading about this Guitar Pro program. It sounds pretty good.

Thanks for these. I've been playing the guitar again, and I'm looking for any MG tabs. Are there any sites that you guys use in general for tab? I've used Ultimate Guitar in the past.

Anyone like the new album or not? I'm not totally sold on it yet. Nothing compares to Edges of Twilight for me. -
Jeff Buckley

Hallelujah is by far one of my favourite songs, and his cover is easily the best. He had an incredible talent that was lost far too soon. -
Ha! We should just petition the man himself! I forgot about Jonny too. Lots of people have had success doing it. I even listen to video game soundtracks. The Last of Us soundtrack is brilliant and haunting. Anything with Matt's name on it is a good thing.

Moment is another great one as well. I think knowing the story behind the song adds so many layers to it that elevates it even further. Thank you for sharing it with us. I totally understand the constraints between the creative and business side of the recording process. We are happy to experience any music that you make, no matter the length of the song. Given the success of Trent Reznor scoring movies, let's start a petition to have Matt score some movies!!

Thanks for linking to that. Great quality.

Thanks to Matt for posting these. It's amazing to get a glimpse into his process, and to compare the demos to the final versions, if they still exist. I loved Tiger by the Tail. I love the direction his sound is going. It could easily be a score to a film, and I would love to hear more of that.

I love the tone that he was using around that time. Love the live version of Great Whales of the Sea from around that time.
