Well that is what I am saying... I really don't think it would realy matter if people thought Matt was famous or not.. I think he would have had a lot of important good facts that would have been nice to see in the film... And as far as Michael Moore goes.. I think he would know who Matt is.. If anything I would think that Matt would get to know get to know him.. What kind of documentary is going to interview someone who has no tangible qualifications or no celebrity for their political opinion? If you want someone's opinion who isn't famous, you go to a bonafide expert or you walk around the street interviewing average joes (if that's the purpose).

Matt is completely unknown to middle america (which is who the film was targeted at). He may have some US fans, but these are people who actively seek out new music to listen to. Also Britney Spears was in the film not as a respected political analyst, but obviously as a highlight to show how little she knew.

Last year Chart posted that he would have a cameo in the movie. It wasn't true. I guess someone read that story and listed him as being a part of it on IMDB.

You've obviously never seen the Sopranos in which she was amazing this past season. She also won an emmy for her work there this past year.
-
Simply enough, the rock star life wasn't for him.
-
He's producing guitars under the name Chaos Custom Guitars. He also works at a local guitar shop in Ottawa called Lauzon Music.
-
fair enough.

you realize that 90% of the people who post here are the 'kids' that people bitch about and are usually what result in the official boards dying. It's the people who put Matt up on this god-like pedestal, whether they realize it or not, that make the boards unbearable.

Is Punk Dead?
OWJeeves replied to THE MAN's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
what you're talking about are the pseudo-punks that have filled suburbia since about 3-4 years ago. The same people who have a fascination with anything 'vintage' or 80's cartoons and toys because it's the current fashion trend. -
reliance and super villain have never been recorded.

Is Punk Dead?

alexisonfire is screamo. sum 41 is a rock band and blink 182 has started leaning more towards the rock side of things after a few pop--punk records. With that said, punk isn't dead and it also isn't an attitude either (the whole attitude statement was just a defense for pop bands masquerading as punk bands for cred). There are still many punk bands, they just don't have a home on top 40 radio, which is how it's supposed to be, I suppose. -
he's been off the top 100 in canada for over 4 weeks. It might get back on there when the new video is out, though. he's probably sold somewhere between 20-25k.

Any one have the non-digipack version of WLR&&RR?
OWJeeves replied to somethingrandom's topic in Matthew Good
scan the booklet. I thought matt made the decision to not include lyrics, period. -
yessir. Think Olexsson was there too.
-
actually right after the band broke up there was a mini-tour well before Avalanche came out. I saw him then and he played a few songs from AOB (Under The Influence, Tripoli, Advertising On Police Cars). So although it wasn't a tour in support of AOB, there was a short time where he was playing some AOB material.
-
He had a show scheduled in NYC, it was never officially announced.
-
I'm sure this board will prevent any chance of the official board gaining any popularity, or even being put to use at all for that matter...
-
it was the cost, obviously. if it was a political issue, why would he have scheduled them in the first place?
-
There was supposed to be an EP with the extra tracks from Avalanche (NF radio edit, Weapon Soundtrack and one other one I can't remember) that was going to be only for HOSAM members, but it was scrapped.

I spent most of 4 hours listening to Raygun....
OWJeeves replied to miscellaneous's topic in Matthew Good
I saw 4 copies of it at HMV here yesterday. And I regularly see it at most record stores. -
That video was posted prior to the release of WLRRR. It's a clip from the documentary footage that was shot of the recording of WLRRR. It's the only clip that's been posted from that documentary and is not the new single/video.
