for clarification's sake, I'd rather they take a step backward and embrace a simpler rock sound a la siamese dream, rather than the whiny industrial rock direction Corgan's been heading (and the pumpkins were beginning to head to late in their existence).

There's already MuchLoud (which basically airs Loud and The Wedge all day) and MuchVibe (which airs RapCity and Vibe). Doubt they'll make a MuchMusic2, no point.

People too often forget just how awesome the Pumpkins were in the early to mid nineties. If the actual band comes back and Corgan doesn't just adopt the name, I'll be interested to hear what they come up with. Hopefully we'll get something similar in sound to Siamese Dream.

You're confused, at least I hope you are. Overdubbing with street noise in the studio would defeat the very purpose of having an imperfect, 'natural' recording.

Apparently they decided to renew AD for 1 season, not 2. We'll find out on the 17th. And The Office has been officially renewed for 13 episodes next season. Unfortunately Scrubs has now become a midseason replacement, meaning we may have to wait until March for new episodes.

K-OS is great and puts on a fantastic live show.

It hasn't been renewed, obviously that's not a reputable source. The latest rumour going around is that it'll get picked up for 8 episodes (either to air in November in March) and if the ratings don't improve that'll be it. Frankly I don't buy it (8 episodes is not a common order). I think it'll probably get picked up for either 13 or 22, we'll find out at the upfronts in a couple weeks anyway.

Matt has said many times before that Dave was an addict and was taking Ian down with him. I doubt we're talking about just weed here, by the way. And if I remember correctly Matt said he's done some experimentation but drugs just weren't for him. I believe both statements were in his blog over the years.

As far as I know, Chart announced that Matt would be in it, but he never ended up taking part. That's probably why he's (incorrectly) credited on IMDB. Matthew Goode is some British actor who was in some crappy movie with Mandy Moore.

Parachutes was a better overall record than A Rush of Blood To The Head. However the singles on A Rush Of... were a lot better than those from Parachutes (specifically The Scientist). Looking forward to it nonetheless.
