Unless you count every country with a decent organised military force. No pirate alliance could ever hope to invade a developed country without getting a real ass-handing, or operate in their waters under the watch of a naval battlegroup and airforce CAP sorties. Stupid pirates.

Ha Ha! Yes, that was my basic criteria. I'd have got that there black Motorola Razr if the price didn't include nonvital organs and a timeshare membership.

That was more of a "Bloody hell, I have no money left because I bought this ridiculously expensive phone straight up without a contract." thing. Though I do indeed wear a tri-cornered hat with a huge feather. But it's still five better. Five what? Five units of awesome, clearly. Alright, fine, I bought it because it's black and has blue glowing keys. Happy now?

Emo Music Sucks
Sparq replied to Berserkgatsu's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Emo is not a word. It is not a genre of music. It has no meaning that cannot be more easily and concisely expressed using real words. There is essentially no type of music which does not reference emotions in some way, or set out to stimulate emotions in the listener. The poll is, of course, intentionally stacked, irrelevant, and is a perfect example of the idiocy I speak of when I talk about how annoying this 'emo' hatred fad thing is getting. Define it as whatever you want. Love it or hate it as you see fit. Don't think about it. Ignore it. Forget it. Sit around at home and whine to your stuffed animals about how much you dislike something that doesn't tangibly exist. Just stop spending all your free time COMPLAINING ON THE INTERNET to a legion of like-minded cretins, and attempting to slam those who disagree. You people may not have noticed, but you don't see alot of 'Emo is great' threads. Why? Because those who like 'it' as it is typically defined, don't care about your opinion, and don't generally define what they listen to as 'Emo'. And the rest of us don't care about anything except the fact that you won't shut up. This rant is brought to you by spare time, caffeine, and a crippled PC - operated by an inherently angry music lover. Terms such as 'you' and 'you people' refer to the general populace who choose to actively and outspokenly hate the non-concept of 'Emo' despite the pleas of the author for some shred of sanity. Wake up, clowns. -
I thought it was great, actually. I do tend to enjoy movies that are not so much anti-war as they are in support of, or at least from the perspective of, the soldiers themselves. Entertaining beyond my expectations. SPOILER (Highlight to View) And how often do you see such an effective war movie where you only even see two of 'the enemy', and the main character never kills anyone...or even participates in combat, for that matter.

Other shoulder, dumbass. I hope they used the term "machine gun" properly in this case. Usually they call anything automatic a machine gun, and that kinda bugs me. AK-47 = NOT A MACHINE GUN in the military sense of the word.
-
Anyone can get RPGs now. Especially pirates. In fact, no self respecting pirate would ever be caught WITHOUT an RPG, or (less likely) a more advanced shoulder-fired rocket system.

You kill the dog, clearly. Keep your wits about you and the next time he gets close you can do some lethal damage to his neck. Unless you have no strength at all. Would you drag the dog to the BBQ as a delicious trophy afterwards?

1: Contracts are evil. 2: Telus is evil. 3: All the other providers are also evil. 4: Cell phones can be turned off or made silent. Make good use of those features. I finally got one during the summer. Telus pay-and-talk prepaid. It's a little expensive but extremely flexible.

As long as we're listing favourites: The Wretched, The Fragile, Happiness In Slavery, Into The Void, Last...uhh...etc Seems like very tour hits Toronto, then some US cities, then Montreal. Not Ottawa : \ -

I always hated Sam Roberts, but could never put my finger on the reason. He's kinda annoying, sure, but alot of people are. Hm. Must think more on this. -
