Skin And Bones

I don't like Dave's progression from really singing (TC&S, TINLTL) to the throaty yelling on almost all the new stuff. It gets old quickly for me. -

no fucking way. again wouldn't be what it is without layne, and besides that, he sounded just as good on that album as he did on any other. again could NEVER be a cantrell solo song. i suggest you look further into cantrell's solo work if you honestly think that. suck suck suck gulp -
You overestimate my humanity. I was simply perking up at the prospect of a new person to attend my concerts, haha.

But anyhoo--all your musical interests are terrible and you make me want to kill myself. ;) (I was joking with this post.) -

I've listened to each song twice, but I don't really consider that enough to verbalize detailed feelings about it. Just enough for me to know I don't enjoy it. -

Well, Why We Fight had a different drummer, I'm fairly certain. I think that after Ribbons & Sugar, all the members kind of branched out in different directions, which resulted in flashes of brilliance (Speaker for the Dead, Your Only Escape) among some really unmemorable tracks (A Mind Of Metal And Wheels, The Hunter.) I can't really comment on the new album because I can't make myself listen to it, haha. -

Ah, okay! In The Land of Lost Monsters was the first I heard of them. I still like it and R&S, but they lost me as a fan as a result of the singer's voice, the absence of anything fresh on their newest release, and their utter incompetence performing live. I can still listen to Why We Fight these days, but it's like hearing a completely different band. -

Beth, have you heard the "Ribbons and Sugar" album by Gatsby's American Dream? I'm not a very big fan of the band overall, but I think the songs on that album are a lot more interesting than those on Volcano (disregard my opinions if you've already heard it and have your own.) -
I live in NC as well, and I'm not a serial rapist. Where are you from? I'm in the Winston-Salem area.

I'm about halfway through The Man Who Was Thursday now and thought I'd share a little bit, I really enjoy the writing style. It seems like something most members of the Bored would enjoy, as well. "To the priest who says these men are the enemies of religion, to the judge who says these men are the enemies of law, to the fat parliamentarian who says these men are the enemies of order and public decency, to all these I will reply, 'You are false kings, but you are true prophets. I am come to destroy you, and to fulfill your prophecies."

This is a good line of reasoning. I only use my computer for updating my website, mixing studio sessions (usually winds up being around 16-20 tracks + real time effects), editing a video every now and then, and communicating with people online. I have an Intel dual core running at 2.13GHz each with 1GB RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 7600. It was more than enough for everything I do and it was well under $2000. Moral of the story: don't pay for more than what you need.

That's my choice. If you'd like to kowtow to albums full of technically good Justin Timberlake songs, that your decision to make. ;) -

My favorite albums are: Grandaddy "The Sophtware Slump" The Old 97's "Too Far to Care" Bear vs Shark "Right Now, You're in the Best of Hands" The Pixies "Doolittle" and MGB "Underdogs" But I would never call any album perfect, it's just not a term that applies to art for me. -

Surely you accept the subjectivity of art, though? Just because every song achieves a certain level of technical quality doesn't mean that it will tickle the fancy of every listener. -
I'd like to state for the record that I've disliked The Simpsons since the first episode. No offense!

All the games for the Wii right now are just minigames like Rayman or Wario Ware, I would wait until a greater variety of titles is there before buying.
