i really enjoy my job now, as a cashier at metro glebe (so you can all stalk me). the store and the neighbourhood its in makes a huge difference. great co-workers and management, the owner is hands on and cares about us (took us out for dinner at the black tomato last night) and the store is small so you know everyone. plus i make greater and greater seniority everyday because of the cashier turnover, so i'm on the brink of a promotion to supervisor!

i don't see a divide between this thread and that other one you made with the news synthesis video. why didn't you just add on in that thread? or stopped reminiscing out loud?

all my jobs have been essentially the same, and they were all neither good or bad.

we set an alarm for 330 but just turned it off and went back to sleep when it buzzed.

you've never been inspired by anyone? i think thats bullshit. maybe you can't trace it back to exactly the time and the place, but you saw/heard/read something that changed your life. i have no beef with jim morrison being someone's hero, i just don't know why. he sang awesome rock and roll, but he drank too much, had a sex addiction and ultimately killed himself via drugs. he was really badass though.

having time in the morning to go to the good coffee place instead of the more convenient coffee place.

i don't really feel i have a hero/inspiration unless i just read/watched/heard something inspiring. like reading ginsberg. sexy and the city inspires me to be fabulous, while my parents are my heroes because they taught me the actual value of materiality. so forth and so on.

i was diagnosed with acute bronchitis today. puffer 4x and day for a month. this swine business is out of hand. people are confusing regular seasonal ailments with the swine and making a big deal out of it (probs why h1n1 symptoms are compared to cold/flu symptoms, for the dumb people). and those who are actually sick aren't staying home from class/work/the general public partially because they are dumb but also because they can't. not to say this is okay, but there are some classes i cannot afford to miss, nor could i pass up more than a shift a week if i wanted to feed myself come payday.
