After LoES, I'm really curious what MG's been up to. That record was 10 shades of awesome.

After reading the first couple of posts, I decided to ctrl+f to see if anyone had mentioned SftG, And as I started reading this post, I was like, "wow, this guy *totally* gets me" :huh: Seriously don't remember posting in this thread...

YESSSSSS Really curious as to what the next album's gonna sound like--his last one is most definitely one of my favorite records from the past few years!

I'm pretty frickin' excited about this one. Any idea when the first single will pop up??

Geez, I like most of the songs mentioned in this thread :P I suppose my least favorite is probably "Song for the Girl." Doesn't really do it for me, unlike most other MG(B) songs...

I love the fact that Matthew Good actually still manages to converse w/ his fanbase. Also, despite my enduring love for Non Populus, it's a helluva battle going up against Rabbits... :blink:

I am so freakin' pumped for this record :cd: Matthew Good has yet to disappoint me, even if certain records weren't exactly what I had initially expected them to be (e.g. WLR&RR). Each album holds a particular emotional element for me, so every one feels a bit special kkk

I know he adores Talk Talk, but just figured his love for Duran Duran outweighed it... yeah, I was just joshin' kkk But to be fair, I really really love "Ordinary World." It's a fantastic song, and I'll have words with anyone who says otherwise!!

Droo, it's insane how similar our tastes are :o The only things I would personally change are swapping out "Haven't Slept in Years" for "Fearless," and adding "Set Me on Fire" to LoES. Otherwise... (y)

I continually vacillate between Avalanche, HM and LOES... might give a slight edge to Avalanche just because we have so much history together :angry: But don't make me choose between HM and LOES! The thing about Avalanche is that it's a very rich record - there's a plethora of punchy singles (Weapon, IAWCC, NF) and visceral melodies (WWWHR, Avalanche); and while there are a few "meh" tunes (21st..., that dumb girl song), there's also a slew of hidden gems spread throughout (PoA, Bright End..., House of S&M (lol)). Hospital Music, on the other hand, is very warm - understated, but not afraid to throw down; kind of like a good friend who's got your back, but is willing to be blunt, even if it hurts a little. I still haven't pegged LOES, yet... I just know I can't stop listening to it ;)

I'm not going to give you shit for having "White Light..." so high, but I will give you shit for "Hospital Music" being so low! Here you go...
