  1. It is...I have a mind scarring memory of a room, long ago.
  2. Thanks! Didn't know about this.
  3. Overdramatization, the key to attracting the hearts and minds...oh who am I kidding, I mean the wallets, of millions of young people around the world. After all, who cares if that celebrity lost a family member, sits at home and watches T.V. and likes to donate to charity, when we can either talk about the drug-caused suicide/overdose death and make up a fantastic story about how much sex and girls/boys they got, or about the rather annoying middle aged woman who spent 7 months in prison getting special treatment, or the happy-go-lucky ignorant pop princess that is so rich, she can afford to buy $600000 of useless items and waste her life. I rather enjoy watching biographies on these celebrities, and watching the absolute emphasis on their "younger lives surrounded by ditzy girls".
  4. Sum of All Fears
  5. It would be great to see him become popular in the U.S. - I've been a Canadian fan for a decade and I've been introducing every American I meet to his music. After all, how many artists take the time to intimiately joke with the crowd, jump off the bus to shake hands, have concers inside their apartment or stick around for at least an hour after their show is due to end?
  6. I am very looking forward to Razor. It would appear Tigh & gang are cylons..mind you Lucy Lawless' character is too crazy to speak the truth. Interesting what role these "unknowable" Cylons are going to play in the future. I can only imagine Tigh deciding to get revenge by making every human-form cylon develop a Vodka drinking addiction...
  7. Chronicles of Riddick. Seriously.
  8. Eternity by Greg Bear
  9. Eh, cool but I'd rather have a machine that turns me into a cat whenever I want to so I can actually take advantage of the anti-gravity toast trick.
  10. I wonder how much money everyone would make if we made a bathroom unit with a fog free mirror, temperature control with automatic water shut-off in event of superhot/supercold from toilet flush. It could come in pink, white, black, blue and silver, oh and as per popular demand in one strange apartment, "psychedelic LSD trip".
  11. The Blues - Switchfoot
  12. Indeed. I wonder if my youthful face and charming appearance will get me in. Oh wait..that isn't me I'm looking at. Damn. Meanwhile, I want my career plans to work out so I can get into a decent apartment.
  13. Just listened to some of the tracks today...better than I thought it would be. He definitely isn't afraid of doing his own thing, hehe.
  14. Blue Skies over Badlands - Matthew Good
  15. 9/10 because it looks like someone is having fun and I'm afraid of being killed by beer bottles.
  16. The thread will never die. You know why? Mr. Bigglesworth is busy doing it butt to butt with other prominant felines in an effort to definitively say he's a bigger pussy than any other cat in the world, and afraid to get his face scratched off. Meanwhile, he has yet to discover that doing it doggystyle is infact more rewarding, except that he would need to ask for One Trillion pellets of mystery cat food to take care of his many mini-Biggles.

    Wtf

Ehh, 20 shots would be suspicious from one cop but I imagine the bullets add up from 3 or more. Although, how long before someone claims it was racism? Maybe it was but seriously, after seeing drugged up people get shot 8 times and still walking forward with a knife, I'd have to say that depending on the circumstance (Kid's behaviour demeaner, etc), it probably appeared to be the prudent action.
  18. I rather like the minute-long guitar playing at the end of World Called Catastrophe, although I wonder what would happen if I used part of "While We were hunting rabbits" - the beginning where he goes "They'll shut you up". Imagine your phone ringing in public. "they'll shut you up..." over and over.
  19. Yes, I meant Wonderwall by Oasis. What the heck was I thinking!
  20. Time Has Come Today - Chambers Brothers
  21. House CSI and Heroes next.
  22. Eh, kill all cows! Make genetically engineered steak! On a serious note, Yes, we ARE selfish. "I want my heat, my big truck, my fancy clothing, my cheap and fancy case with the cool paint, I don't want to walk, I want to have more food than I need, I don't care if Africa is starving", and so on. It goes on and everyone has at least, at the very least, ONE (and often more) thing they are selfish about. Depends on region. I like to look at some of these rich people, they build their massive homes in the middle of nowhere, have their private property, and waste energy like nothing. Manufacturing costs (energy wise) from producing batteries, electronic equipment, etc, to supplement demand. I was talking to a group of fairly wealthy kids in California, and they were going on about the new ZUNE, iPod, cell phones they just bought. "Oh, we replace them every 6 months if something new comes out or they get scratched". When we have people throwing and replacing everything every month or 6 months, that adds to a bit of the problem. However, it's multi-faceted and there is NO one solution. We can start by conserving and educating ourselves. Yes, you're right, it is expensive to produce energy efficient products. We can also start by conserving in other ways. Also, there is a trend, a pattern. Earth has cycles like the sun. Every so often our poles flip, our climate changes, ice ages come and go. It's natural. We are likely in one of these NATURAL conditions right now, and simply accelerating. While we need to learn to conserve (and we are! I see greater knowledge and awareness of how to resolve some of these issues), we should consider that we CANNOT stop, only slow, this effect. Yes, conseration will be VERY important if a new ice-age comes, because we won't have all this wonderful space anymore fo farms and ranches, and mining/production will become more expensive. We should also look into PROTECTING ourselves from the effects, if we truly cannot stop it. How can we save ourselves from a natural ice-age?
  23. Ahh, I did not consider that. Teaches me for posting when I am half-asleep. Yes, and simple items such as flourescent lightbulbs contain mercury which posts a health and environmental hazard should they break. One billion flourescent lightbulbs...we could end up paying more in "safe disposal" for these bulbs. Although I do use them I am extremely careful when handling them.
