you like bluesy rock, monochrome? if you do, check out the allman brothers band at fillmore east. there's three releases of it, but it stands to reason that the latest one is the most complete. as much as i love that matthew good bootleg i was ranting about, the fillmore concert is still my favorite live recording. they played straight through till the next morning! any...it's the bomb. i can upload the one i have (the second last release) to shade's album thread if you're interested.

dude, there's little play buttons on all the lists now by tracks that, i guess, are available to listen to from last.fm. and the pictures that appear next to the lists are all symmetrical and seperated now.

the last book i started to read was "visions of cody" by kerouac. i never finished. i started to read it, then started working my stupid jerk job, and didn't feel like reading anymore. i'll finish it some day. "a face just covers a skull a while. stretch your skull cover and smile". that line hit me like a punch in the mouth. i took that away from it, even if i never finished the book. edit: i loved the ending of 1984. that's half the reason i love the book.

the departed. it blew chunks. i didn't believe for a minute that the top dog that jack nicholson played would go to pick up a ton of coke or heroin (whatever it was) with the rest of his underlings. the scene where he ends up getting offed. ruined an okay movie for me. and it was just okay up to that point.

i'd like to hear him cover 'crowd surf off a cliff' by emily haines.
