given to fly - pearl jam a wave came crashing like a fist to the jaw delivered him wings, "Hey, look at me now" arms wide open with the sea as his floor oh, power, oh he's flying whole high wide he floated back down 'cause he wanted to share his key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere but first he was stripped and then he was stabbed by faceless men, well, fuckers he still stands --love that song. i was wrong to stop listening to them. kids are dumb.

nirvana's bleach came out in '89, so love buzz qualifies as one of my favorites. i'm aware it's a cover song. i've never heard the original. -

because it's favorite 80s song, and i was pretty sure that fresh fruit was released in 79, though i just looked it up and it was released in 80. i like holiday in cambodia more than california uber alles anyway. i never really listen to the studio version of either of those, just the live ones from mutiny on the bay. which is still live in the 80s. anyway, i love all of plastic surgery disasters, more than the other dead kennedys stuff, and i just tried to pick one song. -

each one of these artist has more than one song i'd consider my '80s favorites', but here one favorite from each. dead kennedys - moon over marin black flag - damaged I bad religion - i want to conquer the world stevie ray vaughan - lenny or did you mean the stereotypical 80s garbage that i hate, cuz i don't have a favorite one of those. okay...maybe hip to be square. -
requiem for a dream. schmeh. the 'drugs are bad' dealio, without the entertainment value/dark comedy of trainspotting. just sad junkies getting sadder. though lux aeterna is a cool song. the theme song. i had to look it up.

gin tastes like christmas trees all on its own.

leno's monologues were horrible when he had writers. i can't imagine how bad they are now.

i've lost interest. count me out. -
i'd say find it to download somewhere, but then you wouldn't get the extra interview stuff. the movie's cool, but it's too short, imo. the extra stuff makes up for it.

joe strummer: let's rock again! broke my broken heart. now i must listen to some mescaleros.

there are two selected ambient works albums. i'm downloading vol.2 right now. how 'eighties' does the first one sound? i've actually meant to check out aphew twin before, after seeing his fucked up videos on much music once in a while. -
and, really, the thread's called what colour was the last marble you stuck up your ass. the threads don't open and read themselves to you.

i like that song for the same reason i like song for the girl. it's not as heavy as the rest of the album. it's kind of a breather.
