The Phantom Tollbooth

I don't consider Harry Potter children's books. Possibly because of the amount of Hermione/Snape fan fiction I read. *shrug* -
Favorite Female Solo Artist?

Norah Jones. And that swan costume shoved Bjork way off my list. -
This is one of the best children's books ever. On my list, it's right behind A Series of Unfortunate Events. So anyway, this kid named Milo (awesome name...) is very very very bored with his life. One day, when he comes home from school, he notices a package. Inside is a tollbooth. Using his car, he ventures into the lands beyond, headed to Dictionopolis. He has many adventures and misadventures, and upon arriving at Dictionopolis, he is given a short sentence ("I am"), with an additional penalty of six million years in jail. Fortunately for Milo, he escapes and is set upon a quest to return the Princesses Rhyme and Reason to their rightful thrones in Wisdom. Er...anyway. Read this book. It's absolutely fantastic.

"No living man am I! I am Eowyn, daughter of Éomund!" ...Just realised that didn't answer your question... The Return of the King. Even if they got the ending wrong.
-
It's in my top ten. Definitely. My favourite part is when she's being all paranoid because he's five minutes late. ...I should really watch that again.

Reluctant as I am to push myself to 70 posts instead of 69, I must inform you all of this movie, coming out Christmas. !! Trailer: http://phantomthemovie.warnerbros.com/ It looks absolutely incredible. I can't wait.

Actually, I haven't yet. However, I've read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by the same author and loved and adored it. Therefore, we should read Wicked.
-
I nominate Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. ;)

Uh huh....

What the hell kind of book club are you running? No smut?
-
At october's behest, I post about a new book. ;) It's called Master of Temptation, by Nicole Jordan. It was not very good. As you could probably tell from the title, it was a romance novel. Normally I like Jordan's writing, but this was just abysmal. The plot was silly, the smut was low-brow, and the leading man was ridiculous. So, when going to find your next romance novel to read, don't read this one. Stick to Ecstasty. It was much better.

All my Disney movies. I heart them so...
-
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Hurrah.
-
Amen to that. If only I had talent like that... (I can't even do a double properly.)
-
I do actually. My brothers made me watch it and I loved the supreme cheesiness of it.
-
OMG!!!!!!!one!!1 Hah. So anyway, this movie seriously rocked. But I have a weird taste in movies (e.g., Zoolander IS the best movie ever made. Possibly). I completely loved the cheesiness of it. Like combining every classic horrorish movie ever made, with better looking people, bad Transylvanian accents, and corny lines made a movie that is now #4 on my top five favourite movies. Hurrah. So, if you don't like silly, cheesy movies, then I don't suggest you go see this. If you loathe Kate Beckinsale with every fibre of your being and hate cheesy movies, REALLY don't go see this. However, if you're willing to stomach her and like cheesy movies, then I seriously recommend it. And if all else fails, at least Hugh Jackman is pretty.

Zoolander, of course.

Okay, lock now. I've said my share.

Ahem. You're the one who called me a bastard. Which is both untrue and assholic. And you retaliated. Does that make you less intelligent? Or even less mature? Guess we're duking it out, Anton. DiCaprio was hot, damn it. You don't have to be naive, delusional, or even a girl to realise that one. But he's not what made the movie excellent. What made the movie excellent was the fact that Baz could make his interpretation of Shakespeare into something so creatively ingenious. He not only made Shakespeare interesting for teenagers, but had an interesting twist. Verona Beach, late 20th century, with guns instead of swords and Luhrman's ethereal cinematography made this film unique. All interpretations of Shakespeare into film try to make the classic plays new and hip. Otherwise they wouldn't make money and there wouldn't be any point to making them.

Says the WomanBeast with no taste. Romeo + Juliet rocked my socks with a pocket chock full o' Pocky. It's about interpretation, anyway. And expression through language. As Strictly Ballroom was expression through dancing and Moulin Rouge was expression through song. But being a sad, emotionally retarded male, you wouldn't understand that.

HAY!! Well, apparently there's this contest and if you're one of how many people to reach level 40 in Lineage II you win a top-o'-the-line computer. Just thought you should know.

I have a bunch of good ones. ;) However, right now: The Emperor's New Groove. Possibly one of the funniest Disney movies ever made (and not just because my cousin co-wrote it). David Spade rocks my world. Any contributions?
