I love it (but Anton doesn't). I'm not that huge a fan of opera in general (unless it's hiphopera, but that's something else entirely), but this music is gorgeous. It's also noticeably 80's in parts (such as The Phantom of the Opera theme, which gets kind of techno-y/dance), which makes me laugh and appreciate it all the more. My favourite songs off this soundtrack are The Phantom of the Opera, Think of Me, and Prima Donna (I swear this song was written about me). So...what do you think? Comments? Favourite songs?

I've seen it once. Actually, I missed the first half-hour or so, but I still liked it a lot. Tom Cruise is love awesome in that role. And Jamie Foxx was great in it.

Really? I mean, I know it's stupid, but that's partly why I adore it. Ben Stiller reached the zenith of his hilarity in Zoolander, in my opinion. But differing opinions make the world interesting. ;)

Er, basically what happens is in 9th century China, the Dynasty was very corrupt and there was a house/family fighting against that government. The government was always trying to kill members and leaders of The House of Flying Daggers. When a captain of the local police gets clues to discovering the leader, he and his partner use their only lead to find him, a blind girl named Mei. However, the plan doesn't go accordingly and people aren't always what they seem... I just went to see it. I didn't know what to expect, not having seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or Hero, but it was really well done. Scratch that, actually. It was beautiful. I don't mind reading subtitles or anything, so that didn't hinder anything. The fighting and martial arts styling was beautiful and the acting was very good. I do recommend it. Heartily.

Curse portable DVD players. They ruin good reading time with yummy movies. Anyway, to continue: I have a thousand books I want to read. And how!
