  1. well at least you cleared up what you meant. I am well aware of the tonality difference between keys. Peace
  2. God damn hick town I live in. This movie hasn't even show in my town yet ;) I want to see it!! Peace
  3. hehe Starship troopers
  4. I remember that he had throat surgery. He had a cyst didn't he? I don't know if he tunes low to help the strain on his voice. Now we have to establish some terms here: technically when you change the base tuning (A437 instead of A440) your not playing flat notes. A flat is an accidental that is applied to any given note. Now music notes change on the octave where each octave doubles the frequency of the note, there are 10 semi-tones in an octave, therefor each semi-tone is (1/10)(2*k*base) where the base is the A tuning, and k is some integer that is the current octave (the base octave is 1). In A440 a flat note is 88*k hertz bellow the non-flat note, in A437 in is 87.4*k hertz bellow. My point is, we could be talking about two different things. It is quite clear that we are talking about lowing the base A440, not flattening all of the strings but still tuning in A440. Peace btw, if anybody feels they need to correct me, that is fine. I just worked the math out in my head, so I'm not sure if I'm 100% correct.
  5. you have to try ebay more often... I got no tips for Van though (I'm only 3 hours north of you) Peace
  6. You haven't answer me: What is the lawful use of these weapons. Stop beating around the bush (pun) and tell me who has a lawful right, and use for these weapons. Why do citizens need AK-47s? Peace
  7. I do like the way Matt has never backed down from his position. He has never said something he didn't believe in, or waffled on what he said because it's not part of the popular plan. Peace
  8. Although you make a point, I don't see any use for anybody to own a semi-automatic weapon. Is it for hunting todays super animals? The point is, that the uzi, AK-47, and such weapons are not, and where not designed for hunting, or any legitimate task. These kind of weapons have no other purpose then to take human life. It's that simple. Show me a legitimate use for these weapons. Give me an example on an animal that requires 800 rounds to bring down (that lives in the united states). Peace
  9. indeed they will. Can somebody tell me what use an assault weapon has, other than taking human lives? And they always miss quote that amendment, it says: "The right to bare arms, in the form of a militia, for the greater good of the state" It was added, after the revolution so that they didn't have to muster an army should the british return. Peace
  10. wow, anton must be rigged if her can do that over that kind of distance. Anybody got any live versions: I heard the one where he talked about the war in Iraq, when that first broke out. I have also seen a reference to another version with bush quotes... Peace
  11. Please don't use the word gotten. It's not actually a word, and it discredits your statement. Use "has become" or "became". Sorry just a gripe of mine. Peace
  12. The materials difference is usually in the type, not the gloss. The Yamaha has a solid sound board material, the Squire uses a laminate. The Yamaha will probably ring louder, and purer. As suggested, test play them, that is, if you know some basic chords. That will show you which feels best in your hand, and which plays well to your style. As for strings, Steel strings have a louder, brighter sound, where as nylon has a muted softer sound. This is a style thing. As a side note, with steel strings, you could put a pick-up on the guitar that is an actual string pick up, and not a microphone. You can only put mic pick-ups on nylon. In the end, it is personal preference. Peace
  13. following web links is a chore isn't it? Peace

  20. I have saved the festo's for all eternity. I have a pdf on my hard drive as we speak. I'm going to upload it to my website, so that you can all download it. As the pdf states, I have done this so that the works can never be lost. If the work becomes distribute, then it cannot be lost. I would appreciate so proof reading, there may be some errors which appear as artifacts of the import process. There is an url at the bottom or each page, I am aware that is it there, but I don't have the time nor patience to remove it (since it's a manual edit of every page) I could recapture, but to lazy, I believe the url gives the pdf a definite image of preservation, and also shows that I am in no way claiming the works as my own. URL: MGManifestos Peace
  21. Boond you can never be a fool... Peace
  22. You are correct... but Matt does do one thing really well, he always sites some source. It's not just his opinion, it's based of some fact, and he doesn't hide his facts. Peace
  23. That always leads me to ask the question. Are to problems we see with communism the result of propaganda that was produced during the cold war. Which leads us to theorize: is communism flawed, or is it the fact they also had nukes. We can all observe the power of the US propaganda machine, and the threat is a proportionally small group, with significantly less fire power. How effective would the demonization of communism be under the threat of nuclear holocaust. I think that drawing any real world examples in this debate may be an exercise in futility. We can all present plenty of democratic, capitalist nations, that have human rights issues, high unemployment rates, and economic problems. That would suggest, that it is not always the system, but the administration of that system, that causes these issues. What we need to analyze is the ideas and concepts fundamentally suggested by the system, and there effectiveness based on our assumptions of human nature. To take this full circle, I agree that allot of what we infer about 'human nature' is actually learnt behavior. To risk my credibility, we could parallel to the oppression of women. For many years it was believed that women where to weak or unintelligent to vote, or be anything. As such, many women believed this, enough that it took quite a long time before there was a revolution, and the attitude was changed (for the most part lets not debate the validity of the statement). The point is, that pre the actions of a number of women to change the system, it was most likely assumed to be 'human nature' Peace
  24. You don't speak HTML, you script it ;) well kind of... HTML is a markup language, so really you mark-up with it... Peace
