    Opener.

Anybody see Zuckerbaby open for MGB back in the day? Recently though, I would have to also go with Wil.

  3. One day Bill Gates will die and go to hell. The whole point is that windows is bogged with so many problems. Yet you (like everybody else) continue to use it since you're afraid of the change. Who will throw the first stone. Once there is demand for linux software, it will get there. You'd be surprised at what is already out there (WINE is rapidly becoming a fill windows API library). If you want a truly user-friendly OS buy a mac. Apple actually pays people to do HCI (Human Computer Interaction). The end all of it is, that next windows could be an absolute POS, and hard as hell to use. But you would still buy it and use it.
  4. Fox's website allegedly refers to use having elected a new president... I haven't checked for myself... ... Well I can't find the article so maybe I'm mistaken...
  5. Ok, I'm now annoyed with this "it's not user friendly" argument. Linux, as a decent out of the box install (I'm thinking Mandriva), loaded with KDE or GNOME. Is just as easy as Windows. The fact is that most window managers are point and click like windows. Software installation can be tricky, but for most software these days you can get an automated installer. The fact is that Linux is a superior operating system at the base level. Security is not build on top of the OS (al windows), but is actually part of the core systems. Memory management, and process scheduling are hands down better. The Kernel, unlike the windows kernel, does not posses several thousand lines of unused code. The code is stable, and in my experience I have rarely seen linux crash in the way windows crashes. POSIX is awesome. Software is free. The system API is clean, and makes sense, unlike the windows API, which is akin to a barrel of snakes. The only real reason that people are still using windows is legacy. Both people and software. People refuse to learn it, and developers refuse to dev for it.
  6. I love linux... until you recompile the kernel. Needless to say I can give you a long winded rant about why windows sucks, and why you are a noble human being for using linux. But I won't. Peace
  7. I though I would at least try and answer your question (since the thread was locked, not by me) Matt is not Specifically religious. If you browse his blog archives he has made a couple of good entries about his feelings on religion. As saturnine said, he uses the word "god" as symbol, with out really intending to reference any given god he is talking about. Peace
  8. The American market is just an interesting money race. Artists are made by their label. To that ends I would agree that poor marketing by the label is likely partially to blame. Also to blame is the fact that MGB doesn't fit in with the predefined music genres.
  9. I love some of the lines already pointed out. I'm particularly partial to songs that work acoustically. I would like to add: What the hell is ZON? SPOILER (Highlight to View) Spoiler Listly List List Sorry about the ;) Peace
  10. Sure sure... as long as it's purely platonic. Peace
  11. That works you know... *cough* What is this thread about anyway?
  12. Oh... I've attached it (/Library/Desktop Pictures) *edit typo... no ability to type these days
  13. I looked for you... didn't come up with that exact pic double check though: http://www.nearfantastica.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=8 Peace
  14. Edmonton is a cool place... I go there often. That aside WEM was, last time I checked, the second largest mall in north america. The Mall of America is 3 sqft larger, or something trivial like that. Can't speak too much about the bar seen, since I never go to the bars. They have two real nice bowling centers though (don't ask). Peace

    WLRRR

Bah! Who you (we) to judge what is or isn't a waste of Matt's potential? I mean come on. If you don't like it, that's fine, but I'm not sure how attacking Matt because he produced it is useful discourse.
  16. I'll have to think about this... It's been a frickin' long time since I saw MGB in concert...
  17. I most of the work on rooms, but that's just because I find that acoustic is a much more powerful medium for the music. It's just so direct, it's not protected by anything. I've always found the live songs done acoustic to be the best part of an MG concert. Peace

    WLRRR

I fixed the spelling of either poll. I think that WLR&RR suffers a bit of shell shock. Not because it is revolutionary (which it isn't), nor is it particularly special. It's shocking since it doesn't exhibit the same musical properties of other MG(B) albums. WLR&RR also represents the final loss of the former MGB. It has a totally different sound, and different feel. I like the album... but I like a lot of things. Peace
  19. Find some stuff about the hub... I dunno what it is up to these days, but that used to be the way to go. Peace
  20. It has been alleged that Steve Codling is teaching music a a school is southern Saskatchewan. This allegation can only be confirmed by the fact that A Steve Codling does show up on the website for a high school in southern Saskatchewan. Peace
  21. alienware? http://alienware.com/Product_Pages/notebook_all_default.aspx By my estimation you can reach all your specs from customization, with out going over your price cap. Peace
  22. Well I learnt something. Peace
  23. Buying them for real is a lot of casholla. Peace
  24. I can't buy from the American site. They won't accept a non US browser, since you need a US credit card just to look. I wanted my free song ;) Peace
  25. It's on my webspace. I'll upload it to my NF space when I get home tonight, then put a link up here. Peace
