Oink Shutdown

I usually just google what I'm looking for with "torrent" at the end and don't usually have a problem finding anything that way. -
Oink Shutdown

I was trying to watch some TVLinks last night and wondering why the site wasn't loading -
it's intricacy fascinates me.

I keep thinking this thread says "Meg Taylor's Guitars"
-
I must agree. Damn you, Muran!

There are only so many chords progressions to chose from. It's about creative composition, and there's nothing wrong with drawing some innocent inspiration from other artists. This thread is like saying a painter is copying another for using yellow, green and blue in close ratios

New Wintersleep Album
hum-an-ole replied to somnambulist's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I love that about Wintersleep. Choruses are totally overrated IMO. -
This is a deadly thread. I almost don't want to post in it, because all it will do is make me want to shop

I had plans to be a geisha, but I'm running out of time so I think I'm going as an old school gangster because I can likely create the look with things I already own.

yes, but dirty in the best way possible.

Trying to stifle the effect that the internet has brought to the retail music industry is like trying to stop a volcano from erupting; entirely hopeless. When someone decides to be a musician for a living in this day and age, they have to accept that cash will be tight unless/until they build a big enough fan base to live comfortably off of touring, etc. Sure, it sucks for the artists that have to go through this transition period, but isn't playing music what it's supposed to be about, after all? You can't be in it for the money. I refuse to shop anywhere that is Wal-mart-esque. Their entire operation is offensively cheap; the ones I've been to are never kept very clean, they have terrible customer service, low wages for their workers, and low quality products that aren't even worth the unnecessarily low prices they can only afford to provide because they're such cheap fucks. Whenever anyone I know talks about these "great deals" they got at Wal-mart, I die little inside. GOOD call, Muran. He would normally be the first man I'd think of. I knew there was a reason I hadn't posted anyone yet. This calls for more

Az is living the way of the future. Expecting people to pay for music these days is a lost cause and is only becoming increasingly so. Most artists realize this, and are accepting merchandise and ticket (not cd) sales for their income. Resistance is futile.

Something About Me

I didn't think Everything is Automatic was that bad. Nice job on She's Got A New Disguise. haircut-rabbit is right about putting your own spin on it being key to the quality of a cover, and you did a great job of that this time. -
New Wintersleep Album

Nice! Have fun! I only get to see them in a little over a month. I feel like I've been waiting forever. -

Owen, I have the same opinion, except throw Archaeologist in that list. I always skip Weighty Ghost if I notice it's playing. I've heard it enough to be be nearly sick of it live already and they've done it way too poppy on this album. The rest of the album is great though. -
Radiohead - In Rainbows

I'm absolutely loving this album, the more I listen to it. -
LOL garlic fingers

What an awesome illusion! I've never seen this before. It's easiest to control which direction you want to see by focusing on the foot.

I had no clue that this was happening. I'm excited to hear the new album. -
I had thanksgiving dinner, but it was not the last thing that I ate when I got to this thread

My friend had a dream about driving on water last week. This morning I had a dream about baseball sized raspberries, three brothers being stuck in a ditch and some sort of war zone down the street from my house where I witnessed a couple of people being shot. For some reason this all seemed somewhat normal to me. It disturbs me how tolerant and desensitized I am in the dream world, but it's interesting to be able to experience things that I would never want to in real life, and be fearless because I know it's not real. I love dreaming.

I have that book Charles! Let me know how you like it, I haven't started it yet. Right now I'm reading Blink (Malcolm Gladwell), Choices and Illusions (Eldon Taylor), and Quantum Reality (Nick Herbert)
