i was just wondering who you guys think matthew good's inspirations are. i was listening to the clips of steve earle that matt put on his blog and it's crazy how much they sound alike... but even crazier is how similar their lyrics are. who else influences or inspires him in your opinion?

i agree... i can say that the best band ever in my opinion, is mgb... best musician i'd say is mg. *shrug* it's a matter of taste really. some people just like bands b/c of the beats they put out... some ppl analyze all of the musician's and their talents and judge them accordingly... and some people go for only lyrics... i don't think that matt good would be the best musician as far as talent goes... although he's pretty damn good... but, there are better guitarists... just no one with his exact style.. heh. and he surpasses everyone in the category of lyrics (imo ;))

god that's hard. i can't chose. running for home used to be my fav. mg of all time. but... i loooove the war is over... and change of season (the way he says that is orgasmic...) house of smoke and mirrors is beautiful.. sort of a protest song is fricking amazing...(Our lives in these empty spaces aside) ..the way he says that gives me goosebumps. and why did you not list Omissions of the Omen?! that's amazing too! he's so dramatic in his end songs.. .just makes me want to take my clothes off.
