My last thread made me curious about who on the bored can actually participate in the US presidential election... Can anyone in here vote other than me?

why is it that canadians (no offense) are so caught up in the US presidential election? i mean... it's not like you guys are going to feel any effects from who's elected. i do understand, however, that you don't want to pick up the daily paper and read about how the US is causing so much strife and death throughout the world... but, i don't believe that either candidate has intentions of causing anyone, including everyone, pain. it's not like canada has the right to vote. so, why struggle and worry? .. take MG for instance. i don't even need to explain that one. i know that he is doing amazing things through amnesty... but, why is he so involved in american politics?? ... i just don't get it. ..maybe he just wants to prove to ppl (including americans) that we're a bunch of assholes who are caught up in all the wrong things and by electing bush we're only going to make things worse. ...well, i'm sorry, but, kerry is no savior himself. my thoughts are like this: the world is not getting better, nor does it intend to. we are only going to accomplish hindering it from destructing ...at MOST. no one will save the world from ending. eventually it's got to happen. protecting and helping people is undoubtedly important... i agree. anyway.... i am just curious about why canada wants so desperately to be involved in the US politics? ;)
