If you were a bumblebee, maybe. I know the sounds was Geoff was going for, and with his permission, I would like to license it for my own personal use.
I cried during Sort of a Protest Song and The Fine Art of Falling Apart. It's a weird experience being flanked by 2 good friends and surrounded by 600 other people and being lost in your own thoughts and tears in the middle of a set.
I think the acoustic was the most diverse crowd at any concert I've been to. It's pretty special to see all these people you'd never expect to see at a Matt Good show and watching them listen and being moved what he's doing on stage.
My friend was saying in Edmonton that during In A World Called Catastrophe he looked at an older gentleman who was just moved to tears.
His fanbase is also all over the map agewise I've found. Especially during the WLRRR and acoustic tours, I've seen everyone from 15 and 16 year old kids to people probably in their 50's, which I think is wonderful.
I only really listen to it when my dad has the radio on in the car, so I don't really know what it's like, but I haven't been too disappointed with it.
We have a new alternative station in Calgary that's pretty decent. I haven't heard MG yet, but they don't play Nickelback which is sweet.
One time I heard Incubus, Garbage and the Foo Fighters all in a row and that made me really happy.
CJAY92 here in Calgary plays mostly Everything is Automatic and Load Me Up if they play any Matt Good during the day.
I don't listen to the radio much any more though.
