  1. Knowing what we do about what's happened in Matt's life in the last couple years, I think it's understandable that most people's first reactions is that he's railing on his ex. Again. And the song is most likely, at least in part, trying to vent out those emotions. After getting the chance to listen to it a few more times and kinda digest it all, to me at least, it seems more like he's lashing out against people who emobody those qualities that he feels his ex has and it's kind of a "fuck, why didn't I see that coming?" sort of song. I can see where people are coming from when they say they want him to move on creatively and artistically and that their sick of songs about his ex (although, I think when it comes down to it, there's really only 3, if you wish to include this one), but at the same time, writing these songs is probably helping him to move on and get past this personally, and maybe I'm just being too much of a humanist about this, but that's likely an important thing for him. That's my two cents.
  2. Christmas for The Boy Who Could Explode, on the myspace page.
  3. I've enjoyed all the demos he's posted ;) Also, I am convinced that the line written on the lyrics page for the song that says "There's one in the basement in a box without no hair" should be "There's one in the basement in a box without no air".
  4. Me too please. <3
  5. I love all of you.
  6. I still have the myspace page open with it, but I'm also a huge fan of private messages, no matter what they contain. Unless it's a picture of a penis.
  7. Finger 11 having success = Juno.
  8. Personally, I think as he get's older, he's also getting more bold, in the sense that he's willing to straight up say what's on his mind instead of, and I don't mean this to sound disparaging or like an attack on Matt's character, but instead of hiding his feelings and thoughts behind the metaphors on albums like Beautiful Midnight and the Audio of Being.
  9. Silent Army in the Trees was introduced during the Nothing To Hide tour and used as a lead in to Black Helicopter.
  10. Mine's probably going to be a little late getting out, but it will be sent soon!

  17. Matt's posted another new song on the blog, entitled "Volcanoes", though at the time of this post, the embed isn't working so I haven't actually heard it. Lyrics are taken from the blog post: I know the place But it
  18. My playlist is done (I did it twice), and I have a bubbly envelope to mail it, just no blank cds. Also, it is fucking cold and I'm not leaving my house unless it is necessary.
