  1. I have a friend who feels like that often too. He doesn't like to be at home, alone (even with his family downstairs), but even when he's with friends, he feels alone. As his friend, and someone who loves him so dearly, it hurts to know how alone he is. That you're right there in front of him, wanting nothing more than to make him feel that he's not alone. But he can't see it. I guess, no, it's not right, but it's just where you are right now, as a person. I can't say for certain you'll "grow" (for lack of a better word) out of it, or that feeling will ever go away, but I guess all you can do is remind yourself that somewhere out there, people feel just like you do. So, in that respect, you're not alone.
  2. I second that. Cats make me itchy because I'm allergic and they are always so catty. Dogs are uber cool and very friendly. I really would like a dog. haha the moment I read that, I thought "Cats are...catty? So are dogs...doggy?" That was bad, my apologies XD You know, I heard they have hypo allergenic cats with fur now? I think they were genetically bred so they shed quite a bit less, and their saliva doesn't have the agent in it, that makes people allergic (since they lick themselves to clean themselves, it gets on their fur, which sheds, and gets on you, making you allergic).
  3. Breakups and Music. The great equalizer of peoples. Maybe it's just me, but it's so hard to know he's going through a hard time, and suffering, and we can only rally around him from afar. But he projects himself as a strong man. And I'm sure he has a good network of friends and family to keep him from crumbling. Not to mention his sweet little dogs. There's that Flickr photo of his, the one with the caption "Even in a sea of people, it is possible to be utterly alone" It's hard knowing someone feels like that, even if it's only sometimes...
  4. Actually, when I read that comment in Matt's blog, I was a little shocked. Shocked that the person who left the comment, would say something as rude and intimate as that. It's obvious by Matt's refusal to officially say something and his new online beginning, without any mention of her or his personal life, that he really doesn't want that part of his life to be discussed. And so, to leave such a message is just going to rile up fans, and he's probably getting tons of "Are you getting divorced?!" e-mails from people. Yes, people are wondering, and there's rumour and speculation. And it's up to Matt whether he lets us know or not. Until that time, maybe it's just best if we just leave it alone? The thread needn't be closed, and just as other people have already said, just be respectful and mindful of Matt's privacy. As his fans, we should be supportive and caring. Not nosy and gossipy.
  5. Hmm...kitty tips... * When you bring them home, close them in a small room, preferrably the one where their litter box and food/water is going to be...so they can get adjusted 1 room at a time... * aluminimum foil balls make awesome toys...something about the sound of them skittering across a hard floor... * Dun feed them tinned tuna...bad for them... * See if you can teach them stuff  Kittens are just as good as puppies, when it comes to tricks ;) * If you're getting them from the SPCA, I believe the 1st check-up and first round of shots are free? Or at least, included in the adoption fee or something...dun forget to get them spayed/neutered!
  6. Is there a way some of the more prolific MGB collectors could pool all their stuff and make it into a charity DVD? Just like that History Teacher cd set that's floating around? Good causes are good causes...
  7. I absolutely adore Great Big Sea. It's just a nice change of pace to listen to, with all the garbage that's out there. There's something about those old Newfie songs, that just transport you to another time and place. The songs are simple and sincere and the melodies are sweet. Even their original stuff is just so simply...nice. Everytime they come to Vancouver, I'm there. Except this summer when they play the Malkin Bowl =_=
  8. I'm a big fan of David Usher. Great lyricist and his acoustic-style is quite nice. Some good songs: "St. Lawrence River", "Tomorrow Comes", "Dogs", and "See you Fall"
  9. Extremely good game, I know. I haven't played it in forever though... And I can't find a copy anywear. If you have a modded playstation, it's pretty easy to find pirated copies of Xenogears. But finding an original is extremely extremely hard to find.
  10. As offensive as the lyrics are, "Shake That" by Eminem is extremely good for the pumping up.
  11. As of right now, I am all over Hitman: Blood Money. Forever more tho, I will always love the Final Fantasy franchise. I remember a time when I was really obsessed with The Sims though...
  12. Does anyone here use Trillian? I wonder how this phasing out of MSN is going to affect the MSN part of Trillian...
  13. Wiki for "The Cube" That'll completely spoil the rest of the movie for you ;)
  14. Thank you so much! It's a beautifully haunting song...
  15. OH GOD, I can't get that song out. Of. My. Head. >.< It's so catchy =_= It was the same with that damn Beyonce song too, "Check On It" or something...
  16. I find that to be the sweetest thing he could do for a fan. That's really kind of him. Did you take him up on the offer?
  17. The reason why she can fly, has super strength and stuff, is that in the comic book (I think it may have also been explained in the cartoon too, I vaguely remember), she absorbed the lifeforce of Ms. Marvel, when she was part of the Brotherhood. So she basically took all over Ms. Marvel's powers, personality and memories.
  18. haha that was thoroughly entertaining. The only thing I ever remember seeing on MuchMusic, other than Matt Good videos, back in the day, was that thing he did on T&A...which was also very funny too.
  19. We are all aware about his old Flickr, and his new Flickr (That *is* him, right?, unicornsof911?) But for the users here who have their own Flickr accounts, has he ever left comments on any of your photos? I ask because I think he left a comment on one of my photos, and while it was only 2 words, it still kinda of made my day in that sick fangirl sort of way lol. I just wondered if any one else has had a similar occurence ;) and post the picture too, if you like!
  20. I originally was just going to post this in the Matt Good section, but why just limit it to Good music? (Mind you, suggest some Good stuff too...) I'm going to work out in 2-3 hours and I suddenly realised I'm so tired of my music =_= What music gets your blood fizzy and ready to kick some ass? I need some of that ;) Thanks!
  21. Just rented "Mirrormask", a good Alice in Wonderlandish romp Also rented "The Price of Milk", also very realistically ethereal, if that makes any sense. Very sweet. "Maybe Baby" was out, otherwise I'dve gotten that...God I love Hugh Laurie... Oh, and theaterwise, just saw X3. If you forget about the comics and cartoon, then the movie was decent. "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!" *shakes head*
  22. For some reason, I kind of like his lesser known movies...like "Always" and "Hook"...there was a sweet innocence and subtley in them that I always appreciated...
  23. Generally, I get this feeling that it's about drug-abuse ("So low, for how high?"), or just degrading yourself in order to get something you think brings you joy. By that I mean something like having sex with someone you love, but doesn't love you back?
  24. I personally think that everything after Pocohontas is pretty crap. It's a pity that Disney doesn't make old school animated musical movies anymore, they were really good at it. Actually, it's kind of sad as a whole that 2D animation is being brushed aside for "more realistic" 3D animation...
