Wouldn't not voting just be affirming and acknowleging that you truly believe you live in a society that keeps you down (ie a totalitarian government)? Then therefore, since those people actually live in a free, democratic country, voting would be rebelling against the government because you're voting against them. If I truly wanted to 'rebel', I'd exercise all rights that are granted to me, and voting happens to be one of them.

Limewire's pretty good. It doesn't fuck with the rest of my computer, and the downloads are faster than Kazaa. Limewire is where I found 'All Together' and 'Pony Boy', as well as a bunch of DSK stuff.

Do You Support Matthew Good's Views

I said some, since there have been some things he's talked about that I don't agree with. For instance, he's made remarks that the Canadians in Afghanistan should be brought home since he didn't think they were protecting Canada at all, or words to that extent. I think that they should stay, as Canada's role as peacekeepers has diminished considerably over the years, and I think that they are doing good over there. Another one was when he said that Svend Robinson should be sent to Iraq to learn the meaning of stress. I thought that wasn't a very intelligent remark. Other than that, without going through every one of his blog entries, I'd have to say that I pretty much agree with lots of what he has to say. One beef I do have with his blog, however, is how he usually only posts "excellent" articles from authors who write what he likes. Personally, I think it'd be neat if he posted articles from right-wing nutcase sources like the Free Republic, and then ripped them to shreds like they do at Daily Kos, a reputable (and my favourite) left-wing blog. But that's just me. Matt can do what he wants. -
That's not cool, that's dangerous.

If there was an election today, polls show that the Liberals would pull off a majority win. If I could've voted in the last election, I would've voted Liberal, since I really didn't like the Conservative all that much, and the NDP and Green candidates were pretty much invisible.

We'll know what to call it 10 years from now. Until then, I'd go with indie rock. -

'A Long Way Down' - Matthew Good -
There wasn't a vote to go to war. The vote was to authorize Bush to use the threat of war to intimidate Saddam Hussein into letting weapons inspectors back into Iraq, and it worked. The inspectors were let back into the country. It was Bush who jumped the gun and didn't let them finish their work. Not to mention the shitty planning (or lack thereof) for the peace (or lack thereof) afterwards. The senators aren't to blame for this: it's all the Bush administrations.

'Beautiful Midnight' for me. Musicly and lyricly, that's when MGB really hit their stride.
