  1. Let's all share a bottle of Famous Grouse, and we'll be all good.
  2. baaaaaaa...watch out for Scotsmen near cliffs.
  3. Let me rephrase, that...I would rather be doing other things than sending greeting cards, and signing them is a pain in the ass. So the receptionist has stamps with our names. Professional Greeting Cards are a pain in the ass. Yep, I post on the bored, usually when I'm doing other things...Multitasking, I'm good like that.
  4. So do I. I was about to suggest Sodamnedpimpish.
  5. There's nothing wrong with being German. Sadly, there is still a stigma over the Germans in some circles because of the atrocities of World War II
  6. A track I produced for my sister... MariaLee - (To All My Ladies)In The Club http://rapidshare.com/files/162802031/Mari...e_Club.wma.html If you're interested, I'll share another one...share your opinions.
  7. You have to admit though, as he's playing it over the years, it's evolved quite well. When he plays it accoustic, it has such a sparse, emotive feel to it. You know Owen, there were several songs I would have liked to have heard at the show, and on the disc...but all in all, I'm extremely pleased with it. The arrangements for a lot of these songs, take on a life of their own over time. Let's be honest, just like playing Apparitions live, he couldn't release a live disc without a lot of those tracks on it. Nearfantastica, it definitely sounds better when you can surround yourself with the sound. The system I have in the van, makes it feel like you're front row center.
  8. I wouldn't use it either...
  9. That was somehow wrong yet funny at the same time... For all of the Canadian Sailors who lost their lives protecting Allied shipping on the Eastern end of the Atlantic, for all the Canadian Soldiers who lost there lives in France, and Germany. Seems like a good day to honor those who sacrificed for your country.

    Wtf

That was pretty funny!!! This thread is brought to you by the letter F for fucking funny.
  11. Dude, I have someone that sends greeting cards for me, for christsakes, I don't even have time to write my name some days. It's a nice idea though.
  12. Of course Toadman...but you have to admit, just on the stupid things she already did...none of this seems too far outside of her range.
  13. That is one of my all time favorites!!! MG - Born Losers(Live At Massey
  14. Are you suggesting that Matt isn't attractive? Or that you just prefer men that don't look like Mr. Good?
  15. Seems to believe that I can pull a high paying job out of my ass for him...when he should really be telling me what he's qualified to do.
  16. You're only a year older than me, and I'm not old.
  17. I wouldn't argue either statement...it's painful for me at times to deal with the people she works with. I don't have time to setup the myspace music acct, I'll stick a couple on a file site
  18. She's 27, she's been around RI for several years...she's gotten a little airplay on the local stations, and been a runner up at the local American Idol auditions, for the last three years. She's going this year, with music that I chose, that she's been practicing. She inherited my mom's voice(though not as powerful) still pretty good. I'm getting ready to post one of the earlier tracks we did on my Myspace at some point. She's got the kind of voice that could totally swing people on the old stuff, like Sarah Vaughn, Dinah Washington, stylings...but is convinced that hip hop is the way to go.
  19. Dave, I just snorted coffee on that one...*snicker* Seriously though, it's a fucking hamster...it was sick...and if this lady couldn't afford to pay for it's care, any decent vet, would have asked her to make a small token donation, and taken care of it. The vet in this case was obviously looking to shit on someone.
  20. Only if you play guitar and sign me on as your touring bassist. ;)
  21. I can see your point Geoff...that can be said for the music industry down here as well. I have to admit I'm happy for any opportunity to play, but even as a hired gun, I couldn't just be a bass wielding automaton. I get to into it. I liken it to the work I've been doing on my sister's demos... There's really no room in hip hop for me musically. Any dumb ass can program a drum machine, and mix in stuff. I like some hip hop, don't get me wrong...but when you've got a voice that can move a room, why package it in shit, when you can back it, with lush sounds and arrangements. Some of the more recent stuff we've recorded, she's agreed to more conventional arrangements. I guess from that perspective, I can understand why someone might be lethargic on stage playing something they have no real connection to.

    Wtf

You damned right I should, in fact it just inspired a thread. See you there.
  23. hmmmm...bordering on man love.
  24. Is my cool assed Teutonic brother from another mother. Nuff said.
  25. Definitely...though Buffalo was pretty animated...mainly just because of the banter between he and the guitarist. Still, songs like, I'm A Window, Hello Time Bomb, etc...require some life...I'm mean literally, how can you not rock out???
