  1. yeah, but i mean if he's opening a farm for these people he's definitely a business man, and if he operates it correctly the farm could run for like, years upon years. what's 5 years of deficit compared to 20 of profit? even if the people don't stick around, the farm will still exist and he'll still be getting new employees. so not only does he get good publicity for opening it in the first place, he gets some extra money in his pocket in the end.
  2. well, maybe i misread it, but isn't he giving his residents jobs at a farm? farms create revenue and cash, no? and also, he says outright that he hopes that the farm "will turn a profit within a handful of years".
  3. not my type of movie and peter jackson is the suck, except for dead alive (aka braindead). popular movies these days are so random. how is a movie about an huge ape popular? hm.
  4. call me cynical, but i really doubt he did it as a nice gesture... i think he most likely did it for the $$ and publicity. but hey, sometimes the end justifies the motives, right? edit: and wow! calling it 'canadaville' really dates him. he definitely should've consulted some hip, young PR guy to come up with a better name.
  5. boo! you hush up. i think it's exciting that he's trying something new. it's still the same guy making music, with all his quirks and personality, just a different style... and can you blame him for getting tired of doing the same thing over and over again?
  6. Otto: they call them fingers but i never seem them fing. whoa! there they go.
  7. i've juuuuust bought feist and the new broken social scene and am pretty impressed with both. feist is so sexy!
  8. ah! no! it's per se, and you didn't use it in the right context! sorry. english major in me talking. resume.
  9. well... i'll forgive you this once. but only cuz you're so kyoot!
  10. no prob! and i lied. i think the goonies kick ass. i'm such a jerk for lying. mwa-haha.
  11. ...the goonies was a horrible movie and i love spritzup's new avatar.
  12. down - stone temple pilots. (aw. now i kinda want to hear that song.)
  13. Fated Sort of a Protest Song Weapon Tripoli (Rooms) Apparitions
  14. aww. it's cuz you're a young man now; you're too old for such childish devices.
  15. i keep thinking/hoping that xbox will go the way of dreamcast; pre-mature ejaculation that crusts up and blows away in a few months.
  16. i get bad razor burn everytime i shave... so i avoid it when possible. facial hair tends to work for me, though, so it's not so bad.
  17. yeah, i remember you didn't like him too much. i always did, although he was way too uptight sometimes. and the mountain and the valley is still one of my favorite books! surprising how involving a book about farming can be. lol.
  18. fated is beautiful and teenage angsty... 'you're bad at life but good in a vacuum.' what a grandiose way of saying you suck.
  19. not that my 'music' is coherent, but when i refine it, my influences would be: tori amos tool matthew good placebo radiohead nine inch nails
  20. My ex-girlfriend recommended that one for me to read and I've never finished a book quicker. It was great too. Even while reading it my first time through, I could tell it was one that'd be re-read eventually. i'm glad we didn't read it in school; that usually kills a book for me. all that over analyzing. although delong did manage to make a few book interesting, regardless of the over-analyzing. ;)
  21. "matthew good is foxy and it's only six dollars" that's pretty awesome.
  22. i don't mind specificititiy (sp? lmao), as long as it doesn't involve specific names, like celebrities. i think that's super tacky when musicians bring their spats into their lyrics... but sort of a protest song; i love that 1989 bit, because i was alive at that point and i can't remember anything either. maybe i'm like, the reincarnation of matt.
  23. aww!! i wish i had a comp at home so i can hear this. ;) x1000 but i REALLY liked seriously serious and if it's anything like that, wow. i hope his next album is like that.
