The backstory for Hello Timebomb was awesome. I wish Matt would do more retrospective's on the origins of his songs. As for the new tune, can't listen to it as the audio isn't working on the computer right now.

Yeah you are probably right. The EQ on all the soundboards/instruments was defintely mixed, probably just to fix the variance in the volume between them.

For Nancy - Pete Yorn, maybe a duet though.

I am pretty sure it has been mastered. Not to mention the edit of Automatic that had to place because Matt let the crowd sing the chorus. It is not like it is a raw recording. With all that said those three tracks sound great. Although I was kind of used to the bootleg quality of the Matt Good fan communtity, these tracks are far superior. Do miss some of the crowd noise though. I guess I just have a soft spot for unpolished live recordings.

Gish was damn good. Siamese Dream their master piece. Mellon Collie was great, although should of been condensed into one album. Adore was solid and anything after that ain't worth mentioning in my opinion. As for a favourite song, Drown would have to be up there for me. It was on the Singles OST.

Massey Hall 07 Acoustic Show > Massey Hall 08 Full Band Show. For me there is really no comparision. Although I am still pretty stoked Matt is putting out an official live record at all.

Can't stand it! I don't see much improvement over the old one for starters, with the exception of the applications tab. I despise the layout of the wall and find the whole site in general is less intuitive than ever before. So yes I hate it!!

I am pretty sure I haven't heard one Matt Good song live that I didn't like more than the recorded version.

It was on the master list that he made of available songs for the acoustic tour but alas it was never played.

I never heard the first incarnations of the demo but must say I really love this version of the song.The simple bass notes with the uptempo piano really shine on this track. And the scratch vocals weren't too shabby either.

Not to mention that iTunes is compressed audio and a shitty bitrate at that. I love mp3s as much as the next guy but they can't touch the quality of wav files on a cd.

This probably should of went in the mega-thread, but whatever. I am in the same Matt Good boat as you. I have seen close to twenty shows as well and been a fan since '97. If anything I found the show in Winnipeg uninspiring. It was still a good show and the band as well Matt played great,I just feel like you do though in that gig had no flow and maybe could of used a few more fan favourites in the set list. With that being said though it was a Hospital Music tour so most of the set list should be derived from it(99%....,Odette were fantastic). Also Matt has only had this band together for three weeks so I will cut him some slack. I think maybe being a hardcore fan that we are harder on Matt than we should be. The only thing that really surprised me though is that Matt didn't come out and play songs acoustically. It could of really spiced things up.

Another tour and another great recording. Thanks again Gursky for sharing this!
