I forgot the June 04 show at the Red River Ex. The Winnipeg date should be announced anytime now, but I was thinking that those of us from Winnipeg(or whoever is attending the show) should meet up either before or after the show.

I actually played Halo 1 for the first time when it went on sale over the holidays on Xbox live. While I don't think it lived up to the hype it was still pretty impressive and had great multiplayer. I actually beat it on legendary last week but I hear number 2 is just a real bitch on that setting.

Don't get me wrong as I loved the first Half-Life, number 2 and all the expansions were damn good. I enjoyed the original Half-Life immensely but I found the many jumping puzzles to be tedious and annoying. As for the expansions for the second game, I thought that the first episode was somewhat weak but the Episode 2 was amazing. The final level where you have to defend the base in the forest is one the best/innovative levels I have ever played in a video game. The satisfying feeling of latching the sticky bombs and then shooting them to explode the Striders was pure genius! And as for Episode 3, I think Valve spent most their time last year developing Left4Dead(gives it a hug) instead. Oh and Bully is awesome. It had all the trademark "Rockstar fun" that GTA 4 was sorely lacking. Don't get me wrong GTA4 had an amazing story but I had way more fun and much more of an attachement to a game when I played Bully.

I was a huge fan of Sands of Time and haven't really liked any of the Persia games since. Will this game sway me back to the franchise?

Tripping Daisy - I Got A Girl

I don't have fuel to add to either fire right now but I will say this, Mario Galaxy is on of the finest, all around complete games I have ever played. I also don't buy the criticism that it is 'Mario 64 with a Wiimote. The gameplay in Galaxy is as tight as Mario 3(the greatest game ever btw!!!) and the camera issues are few and far between. I guess you could call it a family game but is still is a hell of a lot of fun, despite your age level.

I am all about Left 4 Dead these days. It is by far one of the greatest multiplayer games I have ever played. Online Co-op more than makes up for the lack of campaigns.

I played Guitar Hero: World Tour for the first time today. After playing Rock Band for two years I find this game to be not very good. The set list was half decent but the menus, note charts and band interaction(one fail, you all fail) was just terrible. Not to mention the career mode pales in comparsion to the depth Rock Band has. I really wanted to like this game but alas. I played it with Rock Band instruments, so I can't really give an opinion on GHWT's gear.

This thread is a really good idea and differs from the Shade's album one. Often I have rare tracks but not complete albums. Also sometimes I am just lookin for a rarity here and there and not a complete record from the artist.

Honestly I wouldn't worry to much about it. I had GA tickets for Neil Young in Winnipeg(his hometown) and I had no problem making my way to the front. I got to the show at around 7:00 and Death Cab came on just before eight. I even went to get more beer in the intermission before Neil came on stage and had no trouble making my way back toward the front of the stage. Like you said there is a wide range of people going so you don't have to worry about people moshing or bumping you like you would on at some wannabe punk show. Hopefully Wilco is on the bill, cause as we all know they are fabulous! But yeah hope this helps.

Does anyone happen to have Crackstatic by Ron Hawkins and The Rusty Nails? I can't find it anywhere. There is tons of Lowest of the Low on the Net but no Ron Hawkins solo stuff.

There is no shame liking old MJ my friend. I have yet to have someone I respected musically disagree.

Is it any wonder is a fan favourite to me and most of my friends. I think I have it on most of my mixed playlists too. Emily and a few other tracks arn't half bad either but I would have to say Keane is a good, not great band.

An online Matthew Good community that actively posts their own versions of his work is not a failure in my opinion. I could care less about about a physical copy. As long as people on here keep submitting their stuff that totally works for me,ie. your Born Losers cover. I am content hearing the songs as they come in. I think having it an ongoing thing is more of a tribute than one stand alone collection ever could be.
